Sooo I'm in a university marketing class and I have this huge project due on Monday. I am to choose an existing company and come up with a new product or service for them to market. I'm supposed to follow this format:
So I'm just looking for topic ideas here as I'd like it to be video game related if possible and I know there's a lot of cool people here. The project requires a 20-25 page paper and a 10 minute presentation. It's due Monday... I''m leaning more towards a service because it might be easier but if anyone here as some amazing product ideas, that would be awesome! Any help is MUCH appreciated, thanks.

Re: Help With Marketing Class Project?
I've got one for you.
Video game themed party planner.
Whether its a small brunch or 100+ birthday party, you help them plan their party.
Food, drink party favors and entertainment, you work with their bugdet.
Like a donkey Kong country party. Everyone can wear DK Ties and red baseball caps. And lots of floating red balloons with the famous ape on it. And there would be some banana themed food, and lots of decorations.
Or what do you think of an actual Pac man party? The birthday boy or girl gets to dress up as him and their best friends get to be the ghosts. While friends and family get to be pills, power pellets and fruit.
You have the opportunity to make t-shirts and buy food and supplies based on the video game the client wants.
Like a full contract with an unlimited budget and thousands to spend.
Good thing this is only pretend. You dont want to do a pokemon party like that dude did in real life and got sued.
But here you go, buddy.
Flojocabron delivers!
I'm sure you can get good ideas with my little post!
Good luck.

Re: Help With Marketing Class Project?
Few random/odd ideas.
1. Physical Demo Disc Monthly Subscription Service. Or promotional swag kits similar to other sub services like Loot Crate.
2. Match making service for people looking for long term co-op partners or looking to meet other gamers
. Most companies offer ways to do this but nothing really straight forward your mostly left lurking around forums or meeting people through friends.
3. A publisher based DLC subscription service. For instance paying EA a preset fee say $80-100/year for access to all their released DLC as opposed to having to worry about buying a $40-$60 season pass for each and every game. Could include other perks with the service such as guaranteed beta access, "game time", a digital library of older less profitable games, and etc.
