I say you should apply the D&D principle: Kill her and take her stuff

Roll a high enough charisma check and you can get the stuff for free.

I think my appreciation for Final Fight is increasing over time. Its flaws become much less important once you start getting good at the game and the high difficulty and nerve-wracking crowd control become much more enjoyable.

It's a rough game, but at this point I think it's a good one.

Sunset Overdrive is everything I had hoped and Killer Instinct is more. They're the only two games I really feel like sinking any time into right now. Problematic since the Xbox is hooked up to the living room TV.

I really just want a new visual novel to play through in bed but I can't find anything that really interests me right now; so I've been reading books and watching TV and anime instead. I guess I could actually play through Danganronpa 2 since I stopped that a few hours in.

If you mention what portable systems you have access to, I can give you some recommendations.

On those platforms I'm not sure if I can tell you anything you don't already know. But maybe I can remind you of a few you mighta forgot about. I will list games which are visual novels or adventure games, as some of these are just hybrids of those genres really:

Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy
Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward

-since its backwards compatible with DS-
Again*
Flower, Sun, and Rain
Lux-Pain
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective*
Hotel Dusk: Room 215*
Jake Hunter: Memories of the Past*
Last Window: The Secret of Cape West*
Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors
Phoenix Wright series*
Professor Layton series
Theresia*
Time Hollow
Trace Memory*
Unsolved Crimes*

Vita
Amnesia: Memories
BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma's story mode
Code:Realize - Guardian of Rebirth
Danganronpa series
Norn9: Var Commons
Steins;Gate
Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters
XBLAZE Code: Embryo
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward

-since its backwards compatible with PSP (digitally anyway)-
Corpse Party series
Disgaea Infinite
Fate/Extra (sort of)
Hakuoki: Demon of the Fleeting Blossom
Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law
Hatoful Boyfriend

*I've played these and can endorse them.

There are other options available on DS and PSP that are fan translated games. But I'm just sticking with retail options here.

Ghost Trick! Play that one, for sure. I finally bought and played on Exhuminator's advice, and it was absolutely spectacular. Wish I hadn't waited so long.

I'll also vouch for Hotel Dusk and Trace Memory. Excellent games, both.

Yeah Ghost Trick is pretty rad.

Turns out one boon(?) of keeping meticulous records of what you beat during the year is you can make silly pie charts. So I made some silly pie charts. I've only included entries in which I actually finished the games I was playing. So here's mine:

If the numbers don't add up it's because I derped.

So for example from those slices I can see that my 3DS and Vita need way more lovin', and my poor OG Xbox has had zero love. So gotta put more time into those platforms next year. Gotta play more SRPGs and racing games in 2016. And I have some sort of platformer fetish apparently.
