Anti-establishment peeps are happy about him because he talks vulgar and incites hate towards muslims, but are these real qualities in any leader? Nope.. He knows how to make money, but even the POTUS can't dictate fiscal policy with a free hand.

It's been over a fortnight since the Paris attacks, but what are those chickens doing? They really don't know how to deal with Daesh. I imagine if robotic technology had developed well enough to distinguish armed combatants from civilians they'd have used them against those Levant lunatics.. But the fact you still need human soldiers gives them the upper hand, nobody wants to have boots on the ground over there.

Nobody wants to go through any potential solution because none of them are easy and comfortable and are all politically suicidal.

So this climate summit.. Unjustified expenditures and bullshit agreements.

What everyone keeps neglecting is consumption not emissions. Burning fuels is only part of the problem, we are living beyond our means, the richer you are the more damage you're doing, that's reality, and it's irresponsible, but everyone wants the most lavish lifestyle they can afford, only a tiny amount of people choose voluntarily simplicity. It's not about CO2 emissions per se, it's about how much of the planet's biodiversity can be spared to satisfy the needs of over 7 billion parasi... er I mean people.

It's a Cyanide and Happiness comic. Stupid joke to lighten the mood a bit.

I've been saying, "let's see where the mass shooting was today," when I watch the news. It'd be a joke if it were funny.

I live in a pro-gun state. Open carry is alive and well, and the legislature of Kansas recently passed a law making it so you don't have to have a license to be able to conceal a firearm. There are restrictions of course. You can't walk into a building that has this sign clearly posted at the entry:

and if you want to travel to a different state, you still have to have your concealed carry permit to be able to carry reciprocally.

When I read about these shootings, it is crazy to methat there are so many shootings across the US. I do live in a tiny town, and probably one of the most sparsely populated states outside of Montana, but the last shooting I heard about near here that resulted in fatality was more than 3 years ago, with exception to Wichita.

I know more people that carry guns (yes, multiple guns) just in their vehicle. It really makes me curious about the nature of the attackers and what can actually be done to keep these things from happening without totally banning guns altogether.

In the case of concealed carry it barely matters. If you can pass the background check to own a pistol you're not going to have any trouble being issued a CCW permit so for a lot of states (ones that don't require safety training which is most of them) it's not much more than a formality. It's not really a license, just a permit. It's not like you need one to own a gun (though that should probably be a thing).

The kind of people who would commit a mass shooting probably aren't the kind of people who are going to bother getting one either, and it wouldn't matter if they did, so it's irrelevant in regards to this particular issue.

As for open carry, I don't really understand the mentality of anyone who would want to make everyone around them feel uncomfortable.
