Eh may be too early for this but why not since I'm already looking forward to next year and have a few goals i know I need to get done myself:
1.) Finish casing up my games, still need a slicer for this
2.) finish way more games than I have. I think I've completed a grand total of 5 this year. I will try to go for at least 10(may include ff1 on this but that's debatable since I want to take some time and either complete some short games or more hybrid genre ones or heck something like NFS on gamecube since that one had a real story mode and what I played at my cousins house was awesome...I've just got to get out of this gaming rut I've been in for the past 6 months since the whole ff1 incident)
3.) Get a receiver and speakers(might need help with suggestions on this one, i've got to get a handle on my budget so I can afford this....or get a better job so I have more left over to save for this)
4.) Once I ever get shelves setup in my room and everything set up a charging dock of some sort with cords I can pull out or something for all my portables and controllers(especially the ps3 controller because that's unbearable with that cord and I think my cord i bought at gamestop if I've found the right one doesn't really work anymore...and i need something with a longer cord or just a new controller that doesn't require some weird handoff to work)
What about everyone else? I know this is probably a little early but eh I want to be ready for the new year and possibly get a headstart anyways(which I'm going to attempt to finish pokemon yellow before the new year and see what other short game I have I can beat easily before the new year or soon after...

I'll throw my name in.
1. Get my gameroom set by summer of 2016.
2. Get everdrives for the snes, Genesis, n64.
3. Get an arcade stick for the ps2.
That's what I have for now

Re: 2016 gaming goals and resolutions
My big one for this year was to finally get through the traditional Castlevania games. Always been a huge fan of the Metroidvania ones and Super Castlevania 4 basically, but that was about it. With the exception of Simon's Quest that I still want to get through sometime, I was able to get through 1, 3, Bloodlines, Rondo of Blood, Rebirth, and Chronicles. Had a blast and it's nice to say this is another series I've mostly completed. Well... the sidescrollers at least.
2013 was Silent Hill, knocked those out.
I think for me a good idea for 2016 would be to get through King's Field and Shadow Tower, since I love first person dungeon crawlers like that in general and am a huge fan of the Souls games, I need to check out the roots!
Maybe add System Shock 1 to the list now that there's the enhanced edition, maybe I can get into it now. I love Ultima Underworld, but wasn't feeling System Shock, despite my love for 2 and sci-fi in general.
So I think...
- King's Field / Shadow Tower
- System Shock 1
- Quake 1

Start doing some damage to my Xbox 360 backlog. First order of business is Kingdoms of Amalur, then finish the final games of some trilogies like Crysis 3 and Dead Space 3.
That's a start.
That's a start.

Actually sitting down and playing some games would be a good way to start!
That's a good game that nobody seems to talk about.casterofdreams wrote:First order of business is Kingdoms of Amalur

I'm going to come back to this one closer to 2016, it's still November right now. I have a few ideas though.

Re: 2016 gaming goals and resolutions
My 2016 resolution involves beating Borderlands 2 with Cronozilla, forcing him to play myst online uru live with me and trying to drag people to play with me on the private everquest regression servers! I don't have much time as I will be starting school again next fall so I have to really jam games in a short amount of time.

Re: 2016 gaming goals and resolutions
Play more, be more focused, buy less, and if need be don't turn the laptop on that day so I don't get distracted from doing that.
Yesterday I kept the laptop off entirely, helped me focus on putting like 3+ hours on Final Fantasy X HD (PS4) because the obvious distraction wasn't there.
Also would like to more focus on buying only if I feel I will really get the game done or my monies worth out of the game (modern system titles) or just be firm and ignore the things and don't buy them. I don't want to blow cash on a $40 game and play it for 5 hours and then forget about it or just get into making excuses to come back around to it.
Mind you this is something I am currently getting and earlier start on now that'll roll into 2016.

Lise' path is amazing. She's a beast!SNESdrunk wrote:Need to finish:

Cross isn't too long honestly, ~20 hours.
I can beat Super R-Type but yeah, not sure if I've beaten R-Type III myself!
