Better then the university I went to more often then not there was only one class off 15-20 that maybe 40+ people needed. To make things worse they usually scheduled multiple required classes right on top of each other  so you had to really watch out or they would screw you into having to attend an extra semester.

Definitely never trust your senior evaluation or advisers either unless you know them personally. Really got screwed over my senior year when they forgot to tell me that 2 of my required courses were fall only  .

Edit:

Been a crappy week.

First my brother has his engineering calculator stolen most likely by one of his "friends". So I ended up buying him a new one for $118 as a b-day/Christmas gift since he needed it. Really sucks ass though since not only was it expensive, but he had all of the formulas he needed programmed into it. Plus the bastards stole it right before he went off to a major test which he really needed it for.

Then last night the old big screen upstairs finally kicked the bucket. It's having major convergence problems and resetting/adjusting isn't helping and the repair costs probably would be more then just upgrading to a newer tv. Guess it's time to get rid of the poor thing, but I'm not looking forward to dragging it back down the stairs.

At least I got the chance to work all week and it's one of the shorter routes so I'm done by noon and not getting slammed by Christmas packages like everyone else.

:D Seller agreed to replace the furnace in the house I'm buying. That means all I'm waiting on is the officially official mortgage approval, which should come next week and is really just a formality (my mortgage guy said he didn't even have to use my overtime in the calculation to get the approval)... We're locked and loaded. Now it's just a matter of moving (twice, which is a frown, but it took me a while to find the right house) and we're done! Expect new game room pics in March or so.

:( - sigh in another rut...not only with gaming(which I hope to be out of if I can manage to beat pokemon yellow before the year ends...just one game and I'd be happy). I think i just need a bunch of small short games to mix with all these long games. Long ones just take a massive toll especially 8bit ones like yellow just because of these tricks I keep noticing they used to make it seem longer. Not to mention I really want to get out of working with harris teeter soon but I'm not sure what to do or where to go, I don't think I can go back to college because ENG-111 I just have no interest to complete, i get halfway through it and get frustrated by the lack of credible sources that would support the papers. Then you have all the employers looking for "entry-level" employees in the computer field but most of them don't seem entry level with the fact it seems like they mostly want you to have multiple years of experience that i don't know how i'm supposed to get...plus 9.25/hour isn't going to go far once my car payment starts to come out(a pay increase would be nice but I doubt it will happen, and if the broken tax system was adjusted for inflation I might feel a lot better...)

*sigh* Might be time to just make a list of crap i pay for, and figure out a big list of cheap meals i can make ahead of time and just grab and go each day(since my mom never has time to cook anymore which means I usually have to grab something at work and I really don't want to go with ramen since I know that's not good for me and I need to cut back on salt anyways...I'm just tired of feeling and being overwhelmed by everything

As a librarian who works in an academic library, I can honestly say that you probably need to speak to a librarian. Most librarians have communication with the instructors about 100-level courses, especially ones where students are expected to write papers. That means they're often prepared to help. If the paper requires you to choose a topic, you need to be careful you don't choose yourself into a corner. Not every potential topic has good material out there for it. On the other hand, many topics DO have enough material, but if you're just doing surface-level searching you may be missing a lot of stuff. Librarians are great at helping narrow down topics and finding resources. They're not going to do it for you, but a good librarian can help you a great deal as long as you're willing to put in some effort yourself.

And keep in mind, just because you can search Google doesn't mean you can search anything else. Google is designed to make you feel competent at searching first, and give you information only as a secondary goal. For Google, satisfaction trumps results every time. Library systems are designed to give you information first, with satisfaction with the experience second place, meaning you have to engage a lot more.

Well the problem is though I've already taken the class about 3 or 4 times and still haven't passed it. I've just come to the realization I'm not a paper person, and I just need a way to power through it and every other core class just so I can go up to university if possible somehow and complete my normal computer classes that I really want to do, and get on with my life so I'm not stuck suffering on 15k a year for much longer(that doesn't allow for much fun and it's about to get even tighter when january hits.

Dude, if you're having that much trouble getting through essays you should be seeking the study group/teaching assistant/office hours as much as possible to ensure your own success. They're all there to help you.

Well and that might be a problem though,

1.) I'm not even sure I'm picking appropriate topics in the first place(since search results anywhere don't really pull up resources that would be helpful.

2.) not to mention I went in there several times the last time I took the class, and I don't know I just didn't feel like I got anywhere...and several times I did forget to go after class until I was halfway home oddly

You don't smoke a lot of the green stuff do you? It's possible that might be a hindrance to your progress if so.

There's just issues you face in life where you have to buckle yourself down and deal with the shit you need to deal with. Everyone has the same responsibilities when taking course work, so you should keep that in mind.

If you feel that you don't have the necessary skills to take that course, then you should look at the remedial level courses the school offers that you could take in preparation for that. It'd be a hell of a lot cheaper than retaking something multiple times and failing, not to mention the most valuable asset you have: your time, would be better utilized.
