Depends what you mean by "everything," but ideally I would like to eventual play and write-up every US release. Imports and unlicensed stuff is more dependent on what interests me, and what I happen to get my hands on. I'd say the same about NGPC. The idea is that I'm interested in any/every US licensed game in their libraries, but I'm more selective about imports.

Of course this was my goal when I started the blog in 2011. Then again when relaunched it as a site in 2013. So...

I'm not really over-thinking any long term goals right now though. I'm sort of acquiring games slowly right now and trying to spend time with the ones I've got before buying more. I've been playing Gunbird 2 this week for STGT and World Series Baseball 2K1 (which sucks).
I have a handful of games on their way to me now which should keep me busy for the next couple months.

I have vivid memories of NFL2K and the DC launch. My roommate in college got it. We were in awe at the presentation. At the time I read IGN everyday and was blown away at the ratings the game got (like 9.5 and 10/10). It wasn't competition for Madden, it blew it out of the water. Took Madden 2+ years to catch up. Just an amazing studio for sports gamers.

2K1 is even better, 2K2 I don't recall playing as much but there certainly wasn't a dropoff.

World Series Baseball 2K1 is my personal biggest disappointment on the Dreamcast. We waited forever (a July release) and it was completely stunted of features and controls. But then Visual Concepts jumped in and we got 2K2, and the subsequent PS2 versions.

I've got NFL 2K2 and I think it's the best one. Graphics are better, everything is easy to do, and the most recent rosters, of course.

The first World Series Baseball was based off an arcade game I remember playing around the time that came out (Super Major League), it was developed in house by AM1 (WOW Entertainment), then as already mentioned Visual Concepts, who did the other "2K" sports games did 2K2 and it looked a lot better.

Added an update on World Series Baseball 2K1. I wanted to play through a full World Series before writing something, but honestly I thought the game was so overwhelmingly bad I just couldn't do that to myself.

noise I like your story about your journey in (and out) of retro gaming. It mirrors mine somewhat, except I tend to stash stuff away vs. selling and rebuying.

Those Mission games look cool. I always figured they were among the best NGPC titles. Haven't played 'em yet, just out of sheer laziness.
