What is "nice bomb" bonus?

It seems to happen when you bomb a bunch of crap simultaneously

Ah, OK. I couldn't quite figure out how it worked. So what makes it a x2 bonus sometimes? A bullet being really really close?

Just doing it twice in a row (if you bomb again when you are about to get hit it says nice bomb x2). Not sure if there's any points advantage though.

Hmm, i'm not sure on this. I seem to recall getting "nice bomb x3" on a first bomb and i'm pretty sure it is related to just how close a lethal bullet is to you. If you bomb when nothing is around - it won't say "nice bomb". What the extra points equate to - I have no idea...
