If they want to terminate me before or after I start for posting various things on Racketboy they can certainly feel free to do so, especially if I'm breaking company policy. I certainly don't need the job nor will I be upset if I don't have it. I'm doing it for fun, a discount, and to work with friends and I'll basically be working Friday evenings and on Mondays if there is a major midnight launch.

Regardless, I'm going in with a good attitude and expectations since I know and respect everyone that works in this store. From a knowledge and attitude standpoint It's different then pretty much every GameStop I've ever been in as its customer driven and a team first approach. It's also manned by people who love current and retro video games. Employees who aren't helpful and/or have a me first attitude don't last very long in this store. I certainly wish every store was like this one.
My FS/FT/WTTF list:

That was the last straw for me, a store that sells video games should have more than 1 copy on launch day of a major release. It feels like they're trying to force you to pre-order games (that's how they answer the phone and finish a sale transaction - by asking you if you wanna pre-order something). I went to Wal Mart and bought it (they had plenty of copies) and haven't been back to GameStop since. My recent new game purchases have all been from Amazon.

I'd love to hear that this has changed. I wouldn't mind going into GameStop and buying a game on launch day.
Gamestop last resort to buy a new game
When I bought WiiU/Wii Rodea last Friday, I made sure to hit Costco, Target and Wallymart first since almost everywhere it is the same price. Gamestop has the stupid policy of breaking the seal on NEW copies to display cases with manuals (sometimes walks away) and keeping the discs behind the counter.

Yeah that is my one pet peeve that they do(at least they don't have annoying stickers on them somehow but I'd feel better if they just left new games wrapped...)

And in the real world outside their bubble that's called USED. :) I won't buy a game, even if they're the only one with it, if that's the copy they have. One I have to trust they didn't self-rent it out as employees are allowed to do. And two, that box and manual(if it still exists) is on display with dirty peoples fingers, fluids, and other germy garbage getting all over it. They should discount the game they do this with as you don't know where that last persons hands or anything else off of them has been that now touched that 'new' game case and papers.

You are lucky, at least that location is not following another ridiculous store policy.

THE UGLY
To add to the insult, Gamestop would then place a hard to remove "reseal" large clear round plastic sticker over the flap of the case on any new game that is not sealed before selling! The idea is the unbroken tamper seal allows a refund of a game, but then the seal does have to get broke to check if a game is defective! That tape is very difficult to remove, I have found it on used games that were originally bought as opened "new" games. :?

No idea how Gamestop can legally sell an opened game as new, especially when missing items inside! Unbelievable that Consumer Protection Groups are monitoring this.
