The Game Art section on the front page is pretty dead could that be expanded to arts & crafts? I know there are some people who have done some pretty cool hobby projects around here and I think it would be awesome if we could get some how to project guides setup. That is if people were into that.

I like to write about games.

I own and play some of the more "obscure" systems that don't have articles - VIC-20, Tandy CoCo, Famicom Disk System... I'd be willing to write about these. (Yes, Ack, I know I started one of these ages ago and have yet to finish. I apologize and will get it done). A C64 article would be nice - though I'm far from qualified to write about it exclusively I'd be willing to collaborate (maybe with a European member?).

I'd be game for writing a Falcom guide as well, assuming there is interest.

I would love to write an article/tutorial on how to make cross stitch patterns and projects from video game sprites. This might sound lame, but I'll change your mind with my Lightening Force magnets and LOOM bookmark.

I can do an article on making DIY music box arrangements of chiptunes, too. If I had to guess I'd say I could probably churn these out sometime around next February.

I will also talk with my co-host about plugging Racketboy on our VGM podcast. Heck, you guys make up at least 20% of the contributors. At LEAST. I know he'll be fine with that.

Maybe I'll update the Pokémon Mini article at some point. It could use some sprucing up.

I wish I had the other games in the library, I could do a write up of the whole bunch pretty quick.

Those Japanese exclusives are pricy though

I have posted numerous Guides over the years in the Guides Section of the Forum and only had one converted to Published Article. Not sure if published articles will help in Google Hits versus the Forum Threads, but there is a huge wealth of information posted by many members buried in the Forum. Some informative in depth posts may instill more visitors if brought out front as an article?

If the Published Articles help vs a Guide Thread, by all means a simple copy paste along with replies from other members to smooth up into an article.

Call it "Random Retro" it could post the title an image and the wordpress summary of an article to feature.

Ahh yes! Your Gamecube/Wii thread was the one I was thinking about when I mentioned it in my previous post. I think that could be a very good article/articles.

Had a list of Wii Hidden Gems that I was going to bounce off of Jordan and Colin to help round out our GC/Wii series. Perhaps that should be revisited.

I also have a skeletal layout for a series of articles following the same format as the Defining / Hidden Gems / Rare and Valuable columns for Capcom (instead of just a console). The ball might get rolling on that one when things calm down a bit in the new year. Collaborators, editors, and whatnot are welcome.

My interests and knowledge base are a bit narrow, but maybe others could start hammering out different old school developers in the same vein?
