I jumped in too. Not sure how to classify the beaten/completed/mastered requirements for some games though (e.g. sports and compilation games).

The way I've been doing it is as follows:

When I finish a game and don't feel there is any need to play the game again (for the purposes of doing something else in the game) I consider it Complete. I may not have all the items or have done all the sidequests, but for this game I don't consider them necessary for a full experience.

If I finish a game and still feel there is a lot left to the game, such as getting all the stars in Mario Galaxy, then I will mark it Beaten. I fully intend to come back to these games and knock out the rest of the content.

I haven't marked anything for Master Runs, since those are really epeen++ runs. At some point when I can reliabily perform the mockball and get a sub one hour Super Metroid run I'll probably mark that as a Master Run.

I mark Master Runs in certain games because there really is nothing else for me to do. Speed runs are the example they set, so the games I've done speed runs in where I had unlocked everything, I include. As for online games...well, I consider a master level run to be a level of skill. I claimed it in a few games because I've reached a specific level of skill where I can obliterate the average person, and where I've gotten some kind of name for myself. For instance, in Battlefield 2142 I had unlocked the dogtag knife and I was in a clan that was considered to be a bunch of hackers because we'd regularly win on servers.

If I haven't gotten 100% in a game, I won't considered it Completed either, but if I've beaten it, it's beaten. And that means the main mode for me, so if I beat arcade mode in a fighting game, it's beaten, or if I complete the main storyline in a sandbox game, such as GTA: San Andreas, it's beaten, but not completed. I'm also only including games I currently own. There are lots of games I've beaten that I don't have anymore.
