I ran into a deal... is it worth it?
I found someone the other day selling a CD-i and a bunch of games for $100. I decided to look though them and found a copy of Zelda: the wand of gamalon. I'm pretty sure this game sells for $100+, but I'm not too sure. I talked the seller down to $60 for everything. Is this a good deal?

Yes, I'd buy that. Make sure it works first. Though at that price it's probably worth it for the games.

Yea I think I'm going to do it. As horrible as the zelda CD-i games are, I've really wanted to play them.Hatta wrote:Yes, I'd buy that. Make sure it works first. Though at that price it's probably worth it for the games.

FWIW, the guys at HG101 seem to like them OK. http://hg101.classicgaming.gamespy.com/ ... ldacdi.htm
Also, I was watching the Angry Video Game Nerd. He said the setup for his CDI revew, which was just a CDI and the zelda and mario games, cost over $700. So yeah, that's a fair price.

If I remember well the AVGN's setup was $700 partirlly because he had to buy 3 CDis before he got one that worked. Still, I would buy it even for $100
Mostly harmless

I just watched the video again, he got refunded for the broken consoles. But I was wrong, he had a lot more stuff than just those 4 games. He did quote prices for a few of the games. Mask of Gamelon and Faces of Evil went for just under $70 each, and Zelda's Adventure went for $180.
I wonder if a CD-I will play burns.

If you are a collector, or would like to own that system
I do not see why you are thinking about it
$60 is too low of a price to double think about it,
it is the price of a new 360 game for a classic system with games
which I understand from other people is rare and expensive.
Just make sure it works and its in fair condition. Some times electronics
give you weird stuff. I had an xbox that would run a game for 10-20 min then freezes, if you restart it , it will only play for another 5 min. You have to shut it down for a long time so you can get that 10-20 min of gameplay time. I do not understand what is the logical explanation for that. So yeah, just check the system
