Anything in particular you think has been neglected in all the fervor? Any much-maligned genres that you never see folks talk about?
I'm asking because I'm trying to get a feel for the mainstream thought. Where is SNES gaming going, that kind of thing.

Re: SNESdrunk reviews
I still think people tend to write off shmups too quickly, because 1) they're perceived as looking and sounding the same, 2) they're too hard, and 3) shmups were not the Super Nintendo's strength. I used to be one of those people but I now praise the greatness of the shmup master race. I can't wait to dive into some Genesis shmups.Ack wrote:Anything in particular you think has been neglected in all the fervor? Any much-maligned genres that you never see folks talk about?

Re: SNESdrunk reviews
Anyone who dismisses shmups on the SNES because the Genesis had more or did them better is truly missing out.

Re: SNESdrunk reviews
Check out Battle Suit Zeoth if you want another really simplistic Game Boy shooter. It's short, and easier than Solar Striker, but I have a soft spot for it.

Nice. I've never gotten into Blackthorne or any of the cinematic platformers personally. They just don't appeal to me. But I appreciate that you gave this one a solid examination. Well done.SNESdrunk wrote:Tuesday, November 17, 2015 - Blackthorne

Thanks. Those kind of games are definitely not for everyone.
