Kaepernick isn't playing very smart. He's very athletic, but doesn't seem to be able to read defenses at all.

The chance that Cam Newton gets MVP over Tom Brady are 0%.

Kaepernick is essentially Geno Smith with a sense of entitlement at this point. I think Harbaugh brilliantly schemed around his skill set. Now he's expected to be a pocket passer and he's just awful, can't even execute the simplest stuff.

If Cam Newton's an MVP candidate then so is Teddy Bridgewater (SPOILER ALERT: neither are)

MVP right now is Gronk

Well, since I stopped gambling on football, I haven't been keeping up with it. Haven't watched a full game this year, so while living in NC and the Panthers being undefeated most of my pals who do watch the NFL are bowing down to Newton.

There is also the old debate that stats have nothing to do with winning the MVP (hogwash) but by making your team better. So I ask since I'm out of the loop, big time. Three years ago I would never expect that future me would rather watch re-runs of Rosanne than watch Jets vs. Pats.

I agree with Stanger though that Jim was forced out, and I think Kap is getting the same treatment. Both guys aren't exactly humble, but when you are trying to be #1, that's usually a trait people want. But yeah, looking at Kap's numbers he has no basis for being arrogant at this point of time.

If I can talk my wife into it, I might go out and watch tonight's game as I live near by a restaurant that has the best fried pickles I've ever had, and also a super-cute waitress that my wife doesn't mind when I flirt with her and she flirts with me.

Plus, I would like to see if the Bengals are as good as their record and see if Manziel lives up to his nickname of "Johnny Thursday".

Two more things:

Is Andrew Luck as bad as people say?

Any predictions for the teams in the SB?

Luck isn't bad, he's hurt and has an OL that is beyond terrible and massive amounts of disarray in the coaching staff.

Cards vs. Broncos

Yeah, not only a rotator cuff problem but busted ribs. He shouldn't even be out there at this point, but hey Chuck Pagano's gotta try and keep his job I guess. Just an awful situation in Indy, weird to think since they were so steady for so long.

Hard to say who makes the Super Bowl out of the NFC, but I feel like in the AFC it's destined to be Denver, just for the years of "Peyton woulda never won a ring if it weren't for that defense, and if he hadn't faced Rex Grossman" arguments afterward.

Caught a little bit of last night's game and Johnny Thursday played as I expected.

Andy Dalton on the other hand looked lik the real deal. Again, I didn't watch the entire game, but he seemed to be on pace for 250 passing yards. And when an athlete makes every play look easy, that means they are special. Kind of like when Patrick Roy said something close to "If it looks like a great save, you are doing something wrong. Every save should look easy".

At the same time, the Bengals have always been a team that builds you up just to let you down.

I've liked Dalton ever since his tcu days. I don't think he's elite but good enough to get you a super bowl. Kinda like flacco. Their defense is good enough and Dalton has plenty of weapons.

Flacco and Dalton are opposite.

Dalton is regular season warrior who folds in the playoffs. His big knock is that he plays poorly in playoffs.

Flacco is mediocre regular season who plays out of his mind in the playoffs. Flacco has one of the best playoff winning percentages and the most road playoff wins in NFL history.
