Ex you are gonna love puyo pop fever. The fever mechanic is a lot of fun and really adds a great frenetic back and forth. I highly recommend it. Get it on the ds and you can have 8 player local on one vatt!!

Yeah, when it was mentioned again all I thought of was Kirby's Avalanche & Mean Bean Machine. Then I see Fever on Gamecube and DS, 2 systems I actively collect for! Any excuse to get more games to them is good.BogusMeatFactory wrote:Ex you are gonna love puyo pop fever. The fever mechanic is a lot of fun and really adds a great frenetic back and forth. Maybe this was specified before, but which Oddworld is it, Exodus or Odyssey?

Odyssey, but people are always encouraged to play the games in the series they want. If you already beat odyssey by all means go for exodus!Lazer wrote:Maybe this was specified before, but which Oddworld is it, Exodus or Odyssey?

If you're not playing the first MOH game, then I'd recommend Frontlines. That's probably the 'defining' one I remember from when I was a teenager. Everyone had it.ExedExes wrote:Hooray it's done, good job all.
Jun - Call Of Duty & Medal Of Honor - Played through many of them. I'll look for COD 3, and replay COD 2 on Gamecube. MOH-possibly play AA again?
The Gamecube version is pretty good and adds a fun multiplayer mode.

This is a cool idea.
I might do a starting run with unlimited credits to see how much money it would cost me, then aim to a least half it over the month.
At least it's Metal Slug 1. If it was 3 I'd probably bankrupt myself.

MAME itself is not online. MAME 32 Plus Plus has a Third Strike support and netcode, but I do not know how well Third Strike works on it.noiseredux wrote:How does mame online work for this?TSTR wrote:yall aint ready to play Third Strike online with me
No dice, too old of a version of FBA since it is based on the original GGPO netcodeTSTR wrote:hmmm, might want to look into Fightcade, my console-averse friend.
Edit:
I stand corrected, get Fightcade:

I've got Frontline. It was good but got really HARD near the end too.alienjesus wrote:If you're not playing the first MOH game, then I'd recommend Frontlines. That's probably the 'defining' one I remember from when I was a teenager. Everyone had it.

In the past couple of years I've played a lot of MOH and COD. I have the following -
Allied Assault & the expansion packs (PC)
Frontline (GC)
Rising Sun (GC)
Pacific Assault (PC)
Airborne (PC) <-- just beat this one a few months ago.
Call of Duty & United Offensive expansion pack (PC)
COD 2 (PC)
Finest Hour (GC)
Big Red One (GC)
So my goal is to find sequels and ports I haven't done yet. I know there's some MOH stuff on the GBA, but not all of them are good.

Re: Together Retro 2016 Calendar - FINAL
As I'm sure a lot of you are aware, GOG kicked off their Autumn sale today. Hey, what better time to scoop up some games for the upcoming year of Together Retro am I right!? As of today the following games are heavily discounted:
Oddworld: Abe's Oddysee - $1.19
Oddworld: Abes Exoddus - $1.19
(All the Oddworld games are on sale if you're also interested in Stranger's Wrath, New & Tasty, etc.)
Medal of Honor: Allied Assault War Chest - $2.49
Alone in the Dark: The Trilogy 1+2+3 - $1.49 (New Nightmare is also available)
Star Control 1+2 - $1.49
I will say that I think some of these sales are time sensitive, so if you're feeling froggy and you've got the scratch, now might be the time to jump. (I also wouldn't be surprised if Star Wars: Kinights of the Old Republic is discounted at some point during the sale, so it might be one (and two) to keep an eye on)
I should note that Grim Fandango Remastered which is the current TR title for November is also on sale

by "Oddworld" I had been assuming we are playing the first game? I'm not sure which one is the first game. But were you guys assuming the same?
