Has anyone played Sonic Adventure and knows what the best version of it is? I have it for the Dreamcast and the Gamecube, but I don't see much reason to own both copies so which version is best?

I personally prefer the dreamcast version. Mostly because while the gamecube version is a little better graphically with nicer character models (though a bit...glossy) it also introduces some new glitches and weirdness that were not present in the dreamcast original.

That said, the 'cube version also has some new emblems to collect, updated chao garden, and an extra character to unlock and play in the trials.

So, "best" is kind of up to your preference.

Dreamcast - More technically sound
Gamecube - Extra features and content

I kind of stepped out of the gaming scene for almost the last year. College and having a car really had kept me outside of my house and unfortunately, too busy for games. Lately I've been wanting to start gaming again. Can anyone do me a favor and recap what I've missed out on in the industry?

I thought everyone has been hating them for years anyways with their decisions it seems in the last few...of course I started hating them when they really screwed up the Yugioh series about halfway into the 5d's...

The Japanese companies are really hurting in the international games market right now. It makes me wonder what it will take to turn that around. They can't afford to wait for gaming tastes to swing back to their wheelhouse. They really need to be proactive on this.

They need to go back to how experimental they were in the first 10-20 years of gaming. It just feels like most of them have gotten lazy in recently to put out something great like they would've in years past....
