Why Zelda Classic of course -- http://www.zeldaclassic.com/

It started out as a 1:1 clone of NES Zelda for DOS, then someone later did a windows conversion. It took awhile for windows to get regular support. After it broke the NES mold, they started going into the 16bit style graphics and more, it's a very comprehensive package with a heap of tools and graphical tiles. I'm not familiar with it in the last decade, but from images and stuff I've lightly looked it, I think you can make your audio music, sfx, and graphics and just go insane and create all sorts of games with it. It's like RPG Maker Zelda style.

Re: Hidden Gems of PC Games: GOG Edition
I really enjoyed the article!
I can't disagree with any of the selections, but I have to admit that the whole time I was reading it I was thinking, "Hidden gems on GOG? That's half the games on the site!!"
Very good read.

Good stuff. Nice seeing Noise pumping Banner Saga after not liking it at first. Glad you stuck with it! That Warhammer game is one I havent tried before, may have to check it out.
