There is a good version of Street Fighter...It is called Street Fighter Alpha: Warrior's Dreams.

Yeah the original Street Fighter is just not good. The special moves are REALLY hard to perform, but are super powerful. Jumping is very clunky. It is really rough.

You know what is a great arcade fighting game no one plays or knows about? Karate Tournament. Not o be confused with karate champ. That game is a great, slow paced strategic fighter. So good!!!

I just want Street Fighter to be better than it is. I revisit it every couple years in hopes that I forgot that it's not that bad. Oh well.

I have also always wished that Street Fighter Alpha had had an iteration that incorporated the entire cast of Street Fighter so that it created a proper 'remake' or definitive version.

Oh it does. I have the Alpha 2 anniversary edition here and she is playable... just in training mode.
