Purchased. I have the first one on the Vita as well so I can call it complete. Thanks!Fragems wrote:The Walking Dead Season 2 (Vita) is $8.72 with prime shipping right now for anyone who is interested.

Ugh... tempted to grab Walking Dead Season 2, but...
I only own a PlayStation TV and it's not compatible. Why isn't it compatible? Who knows. You can emulate touch without any problem using the control sticks. The first season was compatible and worked just fine - surely the second season isn't that different.
One of those cases where I'm tempted to buy cheap while it's still easy to find, hoping that support gets added (or there ends up being a way to ignore the whitelist blocking certain games) but not keen to actually put out the cash because of lingering doubts.

ejamer: If you look back a page or two there is a simple way to circumvent the white list. Also search on Eurogamer.com has a guide I believe.

Re: Playstation Vita thread
Does that white-list circumvention allow for Netflix yet? Someone I know told me that the Vita TV can play Netflix via the browser. Can anyone confirm this?

Unfortunately this was patched out by Sony almost a month ago, right? It's the right idea though.

I read that the hack would allow Netflix playback. Unfortunately unable to test myself.samsonlonghair wrote:Does that white-list circumvention allow for Netflix yet? ...
Confirmed as "does not work".... Someone I know told me that the Vita TV can play Netflix via the browser. Can anyone confirm this?

Wow it felt last week when I first saw the article go live.

Yeah don't know why but I've contemplated picking on of those tv's just to have for the just in case I ever do move out but it is strange that they'd disable the touch stuff. I'd think it'd be possible(but awkward) to use the ds4 as the front at least and a combo button press and touch as the back screen...doesn't sound like it'd be weird or hard to implement...

The PS TV is pretty limited right now, but if you already have some Vita games then it's not bad considering the price. Just take a close look at compatibility before buying.darsparx wrote:Yeah don't know why but I've contemplated picking on of those tv's just to have for the just in case I ever do move out but it is strange that they'd disable the touch stuff. With just a few improvements (Netflix, a less damning selection of games on the whitelist) I'd be a much bigger fan. Kind of bitter to have missed the hack last month that apparently opened that functionality up - especially since it sounds like you could update after hacking and still have all the benefits. Fingers crossed that there is another way to circumvent the whitelist restriction in the future.
But some of the limitations can be overlooked since PS TV can be had for like $30. I paid $50 CAD to get one of the bundle packs with memory card, controller, and game. It's not impulse buy territory... but it's not that hard to justify that price with just a few games.
