I've played the two GBA releases. I thought the solar panel thing was a novel idea. It would be easy in direct sunlight but difficult as hell in the dark. Had some stealth mechanics I believe.

I really like Lunar Knights as it has isometric view points as well as Star Fox-esque battle scenes.

It was a jokingly knock on Metal Gear lol. Snatcher and Zone was even in my mind when I typed that.

After finishing both, I think Snatcher has its charms but is overrated, but Zone of the Enders was pretty fun. I still need to play The 2nd Runner, but I didn't care for The Fist of Mars.

I would recommend trying out policenauts. The game is played much like snatcher, but has some added depth and variety to the game that surprises players. The story is actually pretty good and doesn't have the insane hour ending like snatcher.

Agreed with regards to Snatcher. It is OK.

ZOE: The Second Runner blows ZOE out of the water, however, and you should play it ASAP.

ZOE 2nd Runner is a great game. I had about 10+ of ZOE since all my friends got it for MGS demo and didn't want ZOE.

I remember hearing about people buying Dragon Quest VIII just for the Final Fantasy XII demo, which I can't even fathom. DQVIII is the better game in every way possible.

I like Fist of Mars. I just don't do the action-y combat because I prefer it by the numbers.

As someone who's beaten both games, I think FF XII was better overall than DQ VIII. While both are awesome games, FF XII actually innovated and expanded upon what had come before in its franchise. DQ VIII meanwhile was just a super pretty version of exactly what DQ had always been. Not there's anything wrong with that, but it just wasn't as wildly ambitious as FF XII.
