So Septerra Core has actually streamlined a bit, in that I now have the best magic and can one shot encounters on my first charge (of three max). I just need to pop an MP restoring item afterwards, but the fights are giving 4-8x the cost of the MP item. But apparently to compensate the game has decided it's going to make the dungeons even more mazelike with switch puzzle backtracking.

I did a bit of leveling, and got to level 9. I cleared out Castle of Aran and beat the boss there. It seems level 9 may have been a bit much though, because while I did have to heal once, I pretty much wiped him out. Ice 2 did the job nicely.

I expect it'll get more challenging as I progress. This is still the very beginning after all. I'm enjoying it though. The music is nice too.
How's this coming along?

Final Fantasy Adventure - headed into gaia....yeah this is weird since I've already accidentally stumbled into it several times(just to see that dialog pop up) ha ha. Looks like i'm at lvl 14 too. So far though I've gone with this loadout:
Stamina: 19
Power: 14
Wisdom: 17:
Will: 18

Looks like for a few levels i'll be focusing on power just to get that way up soon...

I feel I should warn you. In Final Fantasy Adventure before you go to the final dungeon, stock up on keys. You can't get out once you're in and you can end up getting permanently stuck.

Kinda like how you're locked on the airship if you accidentally discover the right screen to go in to? Made that mistake and still wanted to explore a bit since i knew there was a few more screens i hadn't gone into yet...I need to eliminate some of these items I already have, I usually use a pure every now and then but usually die now before I notice that I need a cure or heal.... :?

I've been getting my Faria on lately. I might be able to finish it off tonight if things go well. Full review will come in games beaten, but I will say this right now: it's the game Zelda 2 should have been.

Faria is cool. I don't own it though, sadly (due to price).

Don't some enemies drop keys the final FFA dungeon or no?

Too bad that faria game doesn't have a translation patch for the fc version otherwise I'd attempt it at $10 with r5....(wonder if r9delta or someone could do a quicky conversion).

I'd hope they do for FFA though I will make sure to keep my stock up though(that game though has a really really small inventory...and I've gotten the "can't pick up" way too often though). First game though in awhile that I feel like I'm plowing through with ease...despite the constant getting confused and turned around...

Pretty sure that's it's possible to convert any JPN game to the NA ROM using the Retron 5...... We talked about some months ago in the dedicated thread.
