Beasts of No Nation
Netflix's first movie (I think), and a great start for them at that. This movie tells a story about African civil war, warlords, and child soldiers, topics not often covered by Hollywood. It's a great story, with very believable characters and solid acting, even from the children. Think Hotel Rwanda, except more realistic.
Any of you that have Netflix, I definitely recommend streaming this one. It's one of the best movies of the year so far.

It's been so long since a film about African conflicts got attention in the big movie circles.

Re-Kill
They've delayed releasing this for years.. Starts out half-promising, but halfway it becomes a chore to watch. Anyway it's time to move beyond zombies.. People nowadays are the zombies so it's become kind of a cliche-within-a-cliche! Time to find a new post-consumerist poster child... Selfie child

Furious 7
It's a by the book fast and furious movie. Probably the worst entry in the series but still watchable if you like mindless action sequences and don't really car much for a story line. Also this movie had me calling BS probably 100+ because they basically told physics, logic, and reality in general to go fuck itself about every other minute
.
I will say this though the last few scenes that they pretty much did as a Paul Walker memorial were great.

Goosebumps
Your enjoyment of the movie I believe is entirely contingent on whether you read Goosebumps books as a kid or not. I read a bunch of them and I enjoyed it. I have no idea if today's kids would enjoy the movie because it does assume a level of familiarity with the source works.

Cursed bytecode in CPU's used in cell phones from a drowned south asian town haunt people whom take selfies before slowly killing them. They turn into shadow people and hunt down the living.
Go make it, Hollywood.
Updated so the idea make sense, left out some crucial details.

This could have been so much better, but the script/editing are all over the place, and half the cast at least weren't good for this sort of derelict-mining-station-B-movie-thriller indieness. We're never going to get another Alien or The Thing are we?

maybe I need to see Even Horizon again, but I never got the love. It feels like a meh movie with one amazing scene to me. But it's been a decade. I could be wrong.
