I've always preferred the first myself, but if there is interest, the whole series might work.

I'd selfishly push for "whole series" only because I have part 2 on MVS.

Oh wait, looks like I have the first on SNES?! Interesting.

Yeah, I own the first one for MVS and both 1 and 2 for SNES. Got some great options.

That would be cool. A month for the World Heroes series.

World Heroes is cool and all, but I still like the idea of doing a game that has online multiplayer...

How many retro games have online multiplayer? Seems like a bit of a limiting factor.

A good number have online multiplayer on the digital downloads on XBLA or similar. That's what Noise wants I think.

right... many retro fighting games (and shmups, run-n-guns, puzzlers, etc) that have been brought to PSN, XBLA and Steam all have online multiplayer.

Pretty much every SNK game for instance... Street Fighters II and III, Mortal Kombat 1-3, some Guilty Gears, and so on.

From what I have read, the 2011 PSN release of World Heroes does offer online multiplayer.
