Online collection checklist?

Post by kingdomheights777 »

Is there any type of free site that offers a way to keep a "glorified" picture checklist of games in your collection? And systems....
Does this make any sense lol
thanks

backloggery.com lets you maintain an online list of your collection, but no pictures there alas.

IGN has a feature like this in your account options, it also gives you a estimated value of your collection

Maybe I don't follow exactly what you want, but isn't RF Generation archiving tool good for what you'd like? Most entries have pictures and it's very easy to add content. That other site looks like it is designed around playing/beating games to keep track of your progress, RF is more a collection tool.

Hell, here's a link to my collection, you can add pictures of your collection yourself.

I think it kind of depends on what you want. Backloggery for me is perfect, since the entry is freeform, and it's designed to track which games I've beaten and which games I haven't. It took about 20 minutes to enter in my whole collection. The other sites seem to be a bit more suited for cataloging a collection, whereas I just have a bunch of games I want to beat.

I saw something exactly like you're looking for but I can't remember what it was. . . I'll let you know if I run across it again.

IGN's nice, but it's also a bit of a pain in the ass. It's been around long enough that I had to go with a different tag than I prefer...though to be honest, "shameless_ack" isn't so bad... It is pretty annoying how often it seems to go stupid on me and I have to go back and search again for a game I've collected. It screws up more often than I like...

Ok, I set one up on IGN.com. It is lacking a few features...I can't apparently specify if something is Greatest Hits or similar, or how complete a game is or the overall condition. Also, a few choices were missing, like I couldn't find import variations of a few games, and a couple of special editions were missing. I'd also like a way to denote what I've beaten, but beyond making personal notes, I guess I'll have to go with the other collection tracker.

Still, I suppose it isn't all bad. It says I've got nearly $7000.00 worth of games...damn.
