If we were to do Waialae, I'd suggest also going with the earlier True Golf Classics: Waialae Country Club, since it was released on SNES, 3DO, Mega Drive, and NEC 9801. The N64 version is different from the earlier version, but since both are on the same course, I think it would make for an interesting contrast to see how it evolved.

I'm not much for straight golf games (not saying I couldn't be convinced!) but I do loves me some Kirby's dream course! And like you I haven't played that for quite a number of years. I'd totally be down for that! For both titles though we may be talking about a limited number of ports?

Unless we did something like this.

I personally love golf games, but having done Mario Golf this year I'd love to see another sport that we've never done (hint: Virtua Tennis) represented...

Tennis? Is the Wii retro yet? WiiSports, anyone?

Golf, Tennis sound fun. Or, perhaps, hockey? I'm not looking at the list of past TR games, but has hockey been done? NES Ice Hockey is a classic in my mind. NES Blades of Steel, too.

Hockey has never been done. The sports video games we have played were Auto Racing, Basketball, Baseball, Boxing, and Golf over the years. We haven't done Tennis, Hockey, American Football, Futbol/Soccer, Fishing, or any other sport. We've also only done one of each sport except for Auto Racing, since it's popular enough to be considered its own genre.

It's also not a sport.

Speaking of hockey games, which one has the best fighting? Blades of Steel you get to button-mash punch... are there any games with more fleshed out fighting aspects? And I mean retro games - I'm sure modern (last and current gen) hockey games have realistic fighting.

In the world of video games, "Driving" is a genre separate from sports.

Also, if a hockey game is chosen it should be NHL '94.

this is a great idea. Seriously. And it's on SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PC, and PS2.

I could be up for some Sega Bass Fishing or some Legend of the River King.
