Seems doubtful. You can buy on original Wii for thirty-five bucks. Why mod a wii mini?

From what I gathered the Wii Mini is very restrictive in terms of potential things outside of its scope. Modding, GameCube gaming, internet, and anything outside of composite out for video is not supported.

When I purchased one last year I justified the $99 price tag by separating the included items: the Wii remote purchase for the Wii U would run my up to $50 complete. The included Mario Kart game, like all Nintendo games, still holds a high price at retail ($35 at the time I believe). I can use those AV cables for stereo out to a set of speakers for the Wii U so $10 was saved. An extra sensor bar just in case my jerkoff cats knock the Wii U's bar off and breaks somehow.

It's nuts mind you, how I went about it, but I was happy with the purchase.

Were those prices there last year when they got the Wii mini or are you posting that for another reason? Even at current prices it's about the same price to get the mini bundle as all the extras they were wanting.

I purchased the Wii Mini in January of 2014 within its launch window.

Not too keen on purchasing used or refurbished consoles with moving parts if I can get it new at the time.

I have no intention to really use my wii mini, I bought it for collection purposes because I wanted it in a box. I have the original white wii, a black wii, and a wii u. plus I have a gamecube with a Gameboy player and Nintendo component cables so i'm fine in that department too.

Been thinking about this topic a little lately, as I'm starting to notice a few Wii games jump up in price.

One Wii game that seems to have risen sharply of late on this side of the pond is Klonoa. 2 years ago it was £5, now it goes for about 5 times that typically.

On the subject of rare Wii games, here's one that I think will be hard to find in future. It came out just before the Wii U release in the UK, and it never came out in America at all from my understanding:

This is why I'm really starting to hate nintendo's region policy now a days...I would've been all for that one just because it's a sports rpg ha ha...only way you'd ever catch me playing a sports game anyways...
