So, I got an assignment in my drawing class to draw a comic book. Most of my friends were pretty apathetic to the whole assignment, just drawing simple cartoons acting out half-assed plots. I decided to go further with the assignment, and draw the most badass thing I could think of: Gillius Thunderhead riding Ecco the Dolphin bare-back through the Pacific Ocean at breakneck speeds, smiting those who litter with his mighty axe and lightning magic. Thinking of dumping some toxic waste in the ocean? Your body just got chopped in half! Throwing a beer can out on your fishing trip, eh? Gillius's thunder magic just made your body explode into a bloody, pulpy mist! Oh, and Ecco talks to Gillius via sonar. How rad is that?
If it actually ends up looking good, I'll scan it onto the internet.
With any luck, I can convince Sega to make a game out of it. If that isn't a hit, I don't know what is.

It inspired me to pick up my pencil and sharpieOriginal_Name wrote:If that isn't a hit, I don't know what is.

I was working on this week's webcomic for my site and this post distracted me. It's not the best drawing, but it was quick and inspired by your idea.

That sounds very cool, good luck with that

I would say you should post it even if it sucks. Sounds hilarious.

Heh, that reminds me of how in my English Honors class in high school, our final project involved recreating one of the stories we read through another media. Most people did comic books (mainly cuz that what she suggested), but I did an event-based RPG Maker 'game' (I guess closer to 'visual novel') based on Beowulf, using Bahamut Lagoon sprites. Pretty fun, actually; wish I had that kinda drive still in me.
