I think he's talking to me... lol.

I'm not bitching. Just stating a fact. They might be nice people, they might mean well, but running a business is not their strength.

I don't want a refund. Just the game and better communication would be nice :)

Damn, was this through the kickstarter though?

I've since bought the game for PS4 and would much rather have the $$ back than a physical dreamcast version. Especially since I foolishly thought the DC version was only going to be through the kickstarter and have some kind of value.

no not Kickstarter. I don't kickstart things. I pre-ordered the DC version and after delays etc, I just emailed and asked for a refund. They sent it right away.

You know, it's funny. If you take a look on the internet, do a bit of research, you'll see exactly what people think of Watermelon... In fact, why not take a look at the Saber Rider and Star Sheriffs kickstarter and look at all the people who started "bitching" the second Watermelon's involvement was announced? Why not look at the comments from people actually claiming they withdrew their pledges, because of Watermelon's announced involvement? I didn't personally and think those who did are being a bit silly, since they're only involved in publishing the Dreamcast version, but my point still stands.

Apparently I (a 27 year old adult, who actually has plenty of experience in running businesses and working in both the public and private sector, and being a Customer Care lead who has trained numerous people in Customer Care) am a kid? Haha.

I think someone is on the payroll. Either that or, excuse my immaturity, has a major hard on for the company.

I didn't even complain when it took them 6 odd weeks to ship Sacred Line Genesis to me and fail to provide me with tracking details when I paid for the 'super duper fast shipping with tracking' (whatever its official title is), despite them assuring me I would be eventually provided with a tracking number, even if it's after I actually receive the game. Their words, not mine, BTW. They actually told me I would probably get the tracking information AFTER I receive the game. Lol! (I never did).

I havent had any issues with Watermelon. I got tracking and no shipping delays on sacred line, and picked up a Pier Solar a few years back that made it on time.

I think we have grown used to the speed and conveniences of sites like Amazon.

I also dont put much stock on Kickstarter comment boards. They are mostly filled with bitching about something or another.

Yeah, I know. People expecting Amazon-level service are silly and I know "internet culture" is generally negative and bitchy.

I almost feel bad for being so volatile and over the top with my comments. As I stated previously, I'm sure the guys mean well and work hard. It was probably unfair of me to be so harsh about them. If anyone from the team reads this, I'm sorry guys!

And like, I said, I don't even really care about delays and slow delivery. It's mostly just poor communication and being evasive with concrete updates. I don't know how many of you follow their forums and/or official updates (maybe you sit and wait patiently and don't pay much attention to the updates), but the amount of times they've implied that the release is imminent and then nothing happens without a single acknowledgement is poor imo.

How hard is it even to just log into their Facebook page, post an update and apologise that they missed their 40,000th shipping estimate and that the site is down? It would take 20 seconds...

Oh well, whatever, I had my rant. Sorry for being a "whiny kid" having a bitch ;)

Wow, chupon. Check out this awesome feedback on Watermelon from everyone. Great company! A+++++

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/57 ... d/comments

BTW, Tulio left the company a few months back. This I knew, but it seems reading the comments, that he (allegedly) left because he was as much sick of the bullshit as everyone else.

And when you read the comments, I know you want to dismiss them and insert generic "bitchy kids" comments, but try and be objective, free from bias and actually read people's frustrations and complaints.

So are you on the payroll, romantically involved with a member of the team or do you not care about consumers being royally fucked up the ass?
