Watched the Rick and Morty season finale last night. Totally great, and I'm totally bummed that I now have to wait 1.5 years to find out what happens next.

BoringSupreez, I hope it doesn't take that long, but if the gap between Season 1 and 2 is any indication we're not going to see the show again until December 2016.

Kill La Kill
Finally getting around to watching this. Only a couple of episodes in, but I'm enjoying it so far. I don't have a whole lot to say about it yet, since I just started watching it. A co-worker found out I was into Japanese stuff and invited me to an Anime meetup. He's picking me up in this car later today, so I felt obligated to watch it:

Another show I've been meaning to watch. My boyfriend loves this show and we watch it together when he's over. Almost done with season one. I absolutely love this kind of humor and I'm ashamed I haven't watched it sooner. The offensive, disgusting and cleverly stupid (stupidly clever?) non-sense that goes on in this show is right up my alley.

It's absolutely terrible. And although That 70's show did have a few good episodes, it was also a pretty terrible show. The formula was reliable, but mainly the show relied on tits, ass, and bad jokes. There's an episode that has a scene of the actors singing The Steve Miller's Band's Joker. Poorly. For no reason. For minutes on end.

But sitcoms are meant to be harmless, so no harm no foul.

I should add this to the Horror thread, but my wife and I have been watching a lot of Alfred Hitchcock Presents, which are indescribably fun. Always enjoyed them, but as an adult (my license proves it) I pick up on all the little things I missed in my youth. Also, not an episode I haven't loved yet.

No clue about Hitchcock's personal life. Would rather not. But as a pioneer of film, he's near the top of the totem pole. He didn't only play the audience like a piano, he also played Hollywood.

On second thought, I'm off to see if he has an autobiography.

That 70s show was strong in its early seasons. It was still watchable after that, but succumbed to the typical sitcom problems.

I watched Hitchcock a couple of months back and thought is quite well done. It's not a full on bio-pic as it mainly centers around the period in which Psycho was being produced, but it's great for what it is. Hopkins absolutely kills as the titular Hitchcock and Helen Mirren puts in a bang-up performance as his wife. It's not a thrill-a-minute barn burner by any means, but I thought it was a really nice look into the life of the famously private director. Highly recommended for a nice movie night with the wife.
