I don't even particularly have any love for Micro Machines, I just really hate Daytona. It was such a disappointment to me.

Although I think I'd prefer Fatal Frame, I'm mostly indifferent on the matter. I think Alone in the Dark will be on of those games that is interesting historically but boring as shit in practice though. Those types of games are cool, but don't get any discussion in the thread generally (see: Populous).

I'm all for Harvest Moon personally, but if gets replaced, I hope it's by something really exciting and notable. Mainly because whilst I'm happy with the list we've assembled so far in terms of fairness, I think it's a really mediocre list as far as my own interest goes

Star Control I is Space War with a poorly implemented map that you move your ships around on until you encounter an enemy and duel (with some things like resources to buy new ships and a goal of reaching the enemy base). There is almost no story to the game; there are a series of scenarios that frame why you and your enemies have access to the ships and resources they do, but beyond a paragraph's description for each there's nothing.

Star Control II is a space exploration game in the same style as Starflight where combat is resolved Space War style. There is a huge emphasis on the story, discovering what you need to do to reach the end, and a variety of sidequests. It has excellently written dialog for communications with alien races. And the game will give a quick recap of what happens in Star Control I.

Indeed yes, though the other thing I was trying to illustrate is that the games are so different in how they play that Star Control 2 is merely a story sequel to the universe, and not really a gameplay sequel.

Hehe I was just kidding around, sorry. TL;DR is basically bluetext by default in my life.

Don't Like: KoTOR or Pokemon - How about Adventure for 2600, or Crystalis for NES or something?

Well, Adventure can be finished in something like 10 minutes.

As for Crystalis, we did it for Together RPG last year.

Not that I'm against alternate suggestions of course, keep 'em coming if you got 'em. I'm just pointing it out.

No, good call. I just named Crystalis as a kind-of obscure NES RPG. Anything similar to that (NES, Master System, or Atari RPGs(if they exist)) would be better that the current RPG picks IMO. I've beaten KoTOR a few times and have no interest in Pokemon. But then again, I've never played it.

I think KOTOR needs to stay. Its a wrpg and it's Star Wars and it's a classic I haven't played. I am excite. We have done a lot more 8 and 16bit rpg's in the past. I like the change if pace.
