How do you "win" by posting blatantly wrong information, and then flinging dick jokes? But then again, you are 15 correct? Is it even worth it to buy a xbox360 or ps3?

It more or less the fact that you just wont let it go. So my opinion is different than yours and you cant seem to accept that, so you basically tell me Im a fucking idiot and then I use the same strategy. So I dont like upgrading, tweaking settings, waiting months for games to come out, and the 360 does infact have exclusives I want to play. That is MY opinion and yours is different, big fucking deal. The thread was doing fine before you turned it into this

Oh wow, the age card? I'm not even arguing with you and I'm still a punk. I just love how any and all times I don't see eye to eye with you it's automatically because I'm younger than you. I suppose as soon as I turn eighteen the world is going to start caring about my opinions. Woe is me.Mozgus wrote:How do you "win" by posting blatantly wrong information, and then flinging dick jokes. But then again, you are 15 correct? OH WAIT.
Nobody is going to care about my opinions no matter how old I get, except for you Mozgus, apparently. I guess you haven't told me I'm 15 enough. Maybe if you do it enough I'll grow green antenea and a third arm so I can look even more rediculous prancing around the forums with my useless opinions. Whatever. I honestly don't care what you think of me.

If you want cutting edge you buy a gaming PC (which let's face doesn't cost much more than a 360/PS3 and does everything, whereas your 360/PS3 can only do one thing, game). If you want the latest games now with a hit to fidelity then you go with a console.
The PC scene has it's pros and cons but shouting and screaming about having to upgrade gets you nowhere because as it stands, I bought my PC nearly 6 months ago and it's still cutting edge. Reading all the buyers guides my system is still THE rig to have 6 months after I bought it. If you aren't a shit flinging retard it's not hard to buy the right parts at the right time. The art of building systems is waiting for the right parts at the right price. With the recession companies can't afford to pump out big hardware revisions every 6 months. It's nearly 9 months since the nVidia 280/260GTX came out and what have we had since? A die shrink and a slightly higher clock? nVidia are gonna keep the current card for at least another 6 months before the next big card comes out. So if you bought your card at the right time you have had a good year of having the top dog card, which will be capable of running anything for a good few years. Just look at the 7900 series those cards are still capable of running the latest games on at least medium settings (which for most games is leagues ahead of the graphics available on the consoles).
Also as for the price of PC games, they are ALWAYS 50% off the price of the console equivalent, come down in price quicker and generally become peanuts after 6 months.
PC gaming has it's clear advantages, not only because you get so much more with a PC but it's a much more versatile gaming system. Consoles have their clear advantages too, portability, better support for local multiplayer, no installs (well, for the 360 at least
), certain games come out first.
Simply put, this fallacy that people have about PC gaming costing an arm and a leg confuses me. Because most people have a PC, in fact you wouldn't be posting on here if you didn't have a PC. The only thing that separates your run of the mill workstation from a gaming PC is the graphics card, and a top of the range graphics card doesn't cost more than a current-generation console. You can't just go about saying PC gaming costs far too much because you just aren't going to go out and buy/build a PC and then just use it for gaming and that's it. That's just stupid.

If consoles do have exclusives that interest you, that's opinion. But price points are NOT opinion. They are facts. You can't fuck with facts. Don't get the two mixed up, and we'll never have a problem.miked wrote:It more or less the fact that you just wont let it go. Apprentice, I'll stop reminding you of your age when you stop acting like your age. Ryan comes in here with the typical "internet argument, lawl" meme, (despite how often he should take his own advice), but you still manage to let even Ryan outdo you this time, by proclaiming a "winner". Nice contribution.
I correct false information on here. It's what I do, and a lot of people have come to rely on it. Tough shit, if you don't like to be corrected.
I gatta say, Niode has a much better understanding of PC hardware than I do, from what I've seen. I don't really keep up with what's hot and such in the hardware scene. And despite that, I am still capable of maintaining my gaming PC so that it can always run the newest games respectable, and very rarely require any kind of upgrade. My machine is technically 3 generations of hardware old. I'm running a fucking 939 socket and DDR 1 here. How on earth can I play games like Unreal Tournament 3 at highest settings, 45+fps, and 1680x1050? (which is very close to the 1080p HDTV resolution that most console games still cant run). I achieve this by maintaining a clean and efficient system, and it's built with very balanced parts and no bottlenecks. It really isn't a complicated process.

Niode: I will admit im a bit of a graphics hog on the PC. I actually moved up from a 7900gs and sure while it was running games decently at medium settings that was fine.........till I got my new monitor and 1024 and 1280 resolution range suddenly looked like shit, since I should be running 1650 x 1080. I then moved up to a 9600gt and everything is still fine with the machine, and will run anything I throw at it, at maxed or very damn close. I only wanted a new processor cause according to benchmarks I could be doing way better, and I guess its more of an obsession than NEEDING it. Processors a x2 4400 and I have 2gb of ddr2 800 BTW. Yes pretty much everyone has a pc, but an old single core and 512mb of ram will do for most everything a NORMAL person does, which obviously doesnt apply to gamers. If you put a 7900gs in a machine like that, good luck running type of new game that relies on dual cores. And like I said, when Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 come out, I wont quite hate myself so much for getting the new machine.
EDIT: Should have gotten my point across i guess.......
Basically what im saying is: I would have been happier if I had kept my old Pentium 3 machine and spent the money for the new machine on a 360 2 years ago. Now the new monitor on the other hand looks freakin great with my 360 via an hdmi to dvi cable.

SC2 and D3 will have somewhat low requirements though. Blizzard games always stay quite a bit below the average requirement level. Its a good strategy and all, but I'm just saying it never takes much of a system to run their games.miked wrote:And like I said, when Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 come out, I wont quite hate myself so much for getting the new machine.
And suddenly this entire debate makes sense.I only wanted a new processor cause according to benchmarks I could be doing way better, and I guess its more of an obsession than NEEDING it.
You aren't seriously going to use those as any frame of reference for SF4 PC are you?holaback wrote:http://www.scary-crayon.com/games/sf2pc/
