I played the game off and on all weekend just waiting for something interesting to happen and it never did. I hope they're finally done throwing new base-building mechanics at me too. I'm pretty much beyond caring at this point. I have a zillion staff members and it's all just blurring together.

Sorry to say but that is the game......I gave up already. Everybody claims the gameplay is great but I don''t see it. Pick mission, chopper fly you to destination, ride horse to an outpost, sneak and complete goal, call chopper, mission accomplished.

Its assassin creed without the historical fictional story to go along with it. Outposts after Outposts. I was going to endure the tedious nature of the game so I could see the ending and how it relates to the other MGS games......but I had enough, looked at spoilers to know the ending and officially decided to trade it in.

How can this get a 10/10 is beyond me.......This was my last video game purchase of the modern generation and I am now officially done with modern gaming in general.

I think the actual sneaking is great, but I know what you mean and if you don't agree with my first statement I don't blame you for souring on it. I like to avoid even being spotted let alone shooting anyone too, so if you don't mind playing Rambo-style or you're just really good at the game then I can also sympathize with you from those perspectives as well.

As far as the ratings, they're just telling people what they want to hear. Same old story.

I was worried that MGS5 has been overrated and as time goes by more voices confirm my suspicions. Still, I'm going to play it since it's the last (major) entry and all that.

I haven't even played it yet, but it seems reviewers went overboard being generous with their near-perfect scores. Perhaps it's time to abandon scores (EG already this among others) since they affect game sales?

I personally find that the game is a 10/10, I have about 100 hours or so in it.

Yeah. Still easily one of, if not the best third person action shooty sneaky games I've ever played. I'm even planning on replaying it on PC here soon.

Man I just wish my internet was more up to snuff. Metal Gear Online looks quite fun and well made unlike the previous MGOs.

Then why are some long-time MGS fans are complaining about the story? It's a fact Kojima didn't have time or budget to deliver his vision as he wanted it, but we all make compromises.

Because someone always complains. Why don't you go play the game and form your own opinion?

I plan on waiting a little bit more.. This insurance stuff is putting me off. I was done with Peace Walker only recently. Nice ending that one.

Well then, I suggest trying to avoid reading articles and prejudicing yourself before you get to try it out. Go in fresh, with an open mind, you know?
