Together Retro 2016 Calendar - FINAL

Star Control 2 is a more refined version of Starflight (which was the best Star Trek game ever even though it doesn't have the license). It's got a fun combat engine (taken from Space War), amazing dialog, and a good puzzle based plot that rewards exploration.

I'm torn on Alone In The Dark vs. Shadowgate, so I don't know.

THOUGHTS/DISCUSS:

a. Everyone seems cool w/ Harvest Moon I think? Personally I'm mixed. I know AJ mentioned a specific title that's on GBA and PS1 I think? I tend to think that this works better when we pick 1 specific title instead of "whole series," and that that 1 title should be the best game in the series or most representative or whatever. So I'm not sure how behind HM I am - though I admit I don't know much about the series.

b. NOBODY has told me if a WRPG should replace Pokemon. So I guess for now both stay on the calendar.

c. We've got several decisions to make at least how it stands right now. Excitement seems even for Alone In The Dark & Shadowgate; KOTOR & Morrowind; Micro Machines & Daytona.

If we do decide on harvest moon I would suggest the ps1 version as it is insanely good and I believe is on psn as well.

Mechwarrior 2 is not a bad choice and if it were to replace a title I think harvest moon would be on that chopping block.

My thoughts thus far:

Morrowind and Micro Machines for sure, still undecided on the others. Alone in the dark or shadowgate are fine by me. Anything but Pokemon, Harvest Moon Back to Nature PS1/PSN if we can stretch the options for entry otherwise forget it. I still like the idea of both Cod/MoH but if I had to pick one Cod.

I would like the list to slow down a bit though. I like that it's coming together - but it's coming together too fast, as in, I haven't had a chance to really read the thread or make suggestions yet and i'm pretty active on the site - I imagine some others would like a chance to really dig in and not feel like the list is almost done already.

yes...I know i'm not very active in TR usually, but I still like to weigh in with hopes that the month I actually have time - the game is one I want to explore
