Actually yeah, there are a variety of simulators which work for this, from Sim City to Euro Truck Simulator. I find the Civilization series pretty relaxing too on lower difficulties, though on higher you start getting into conflicts much quicker.

I picked up Banished a while back and haven't given it a proper go yet, but I may try it out soon.

Yep, turn-based strategy games and stuff like Euro Truck are great.

Lately I have been looking more at games for handhelds that fall into the super-relaxing category. Various lifestyle factors make it easier to spend more time with a handheld these days.

Medievil, the first two, and Fallout. The simple turn based, click and wait is a refreshing change from faster paced games.

Team Fortress 2, for sure. It's the reason I have put over 2200 hours on it

Weirdly enough, most of my favourite games are very demanding and tense so I hate playing them when I'm tired

Cool thanks, the very last UK track is so much fun because it's the only track where you have a chance to lap the entire field
