I buy all my produce from the market/local farm shop. Including eggs from free range local hens. It's cheaper, it lasts longer (because it hasn't spent half it's life in the back of transport) and tastes better. The only thing I don't buy that is locally produced is cow's milk because I don't like full fat milk. Besides we go through the stuff at an alarming pace in this house so it's just not viable to get fresh milk from the farm.
I don't care whether or not it's 'organic' because in my eyes, as long as it's come straight from the local farm with the dirt still on it that's as 'organic' as I like.
You guys should all support your local farms/businesses and boycott the supermarket. Supermarkets suck.

When my local farmer starts carrying Hamburger Helper I will support him.

I think you need to clarify a few things. What do you mean by "processed foods?"wip3outguy7 wrote:Dropping processed foods for a mere 24 hours would result in a noticeable change in stamina and *snicker* bowel movement.
Eating fruits and vegetables, organic or not, will produce the results you describe if they are consumed in place of Little Debbie snacks and potato chips.

A couple small, local market chains around where I live actually feature (often in concert with sales or seasonal advertising) local produce. Admittedly, it's local from the larger farms, often, but not always. So I try to support local stores and local produce in a single shopping trip.Niode wrote:You guys should all support your local farms/businesses and boycott the supermarket. Supermarkets suck.
