That's all that should matter, not childish politics or grandstanding about it. You use it or you don't, and if it works, that's all that matters.

This makes no sense whatsoever in the current context. Like, none.

I'm really close to getting one of these to help with capturing so I can save games I can't spend 2-3 hours playing in one sitting. Not 10-years old anymore haha!

But I was just wondering if anyone had any trouble running firmware updates to an SD card from a Mac Book or other Mac computer. I looked on their site and I didn't see anything other than PC. I am notorious for overlooking things, so I don't count that possibility out haha!

Also, does it come with an SD card? I'm guessing it doesn't, but I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks in advance!

It does not come with one. When it arrived I just popped the one out of my wife's digital camera.

Awesome! Thanks!

Overall, how do you like yours? I have all my systems, but I hesitate playing games that I have to finish in one go around (i.e. No saves). This would help me play through some harder platforms and action games that may not take a ton of hours, but I just can't sit down and play all the way through. I love playing games, but I'm mediocre at best as far as talent haha! But I have fun and that is all that matters.

I love the Retron 5. Haven't used an actual NES, SNES, or Genesis since it arrived - though with handhelds I switch on and off.

Having save states and the ability to apply translation patches to games is the best thing ever.

I didn't know you could add translation patches!? That might do it for me. I knew it could play Famicom and Super Famicom, but didn't know you could apply translation patches. Do they provide that through their firmware updates or is that something you have to search them out?

It really is, I have purchased so many awesome games from Japan for $5 or less, Dragon Quest 3, DQ6, FFV, Front Mission, Kirby Super Star and heaps more, all for $5 or less.

Update the firmware to gain the ability to apply patches.

You will have to seek out the patches yourself. (Pssst! Look at the first page of this thread).
