Deoxit cleaner and rejuvenator experiments

hi members , i recently bought Deoxit both in a bottle and spray ive been experimenting with it. I have a PS2 Network Adapter that just doesnt work and i did the below process........


i got lemon juice and vinegar and painted it on the RJ-45 port and terminals that connect with the back of the PS2.

after 30 mins i used isopropyl alcohol and removed as much of the lemon juice and vinegar as possible with a artists pain brush.

then i applied Deoxit red and left it on for about 30 mins , after that iso rinse. Then i used Deoxit gold and left it on for 30 mins then tested on my PS2.


interestingly the PS2 Network Adapter now works , ive had it for about 4-5 years and kept it even tho it didnt work and im glad.


i also have a official 4MB Sega Saturn ram cart that most of the time doesnt work , i did a similar process and it works every time i use it on my Saturn.


some more experiements below

-ive done my PC network and i get faster download speeds
-my PSP gets faster transfers via USB
-Open PS2 Loader boots quicker
-Aurora ( XBOX 360 dash ) loads quicker after the console has glitched


im still yet to do more experiments but wow.................recommend you guys try it

Thanks for the share, I forgot about Deoxit, but I have a can of it laying around which I used for the fader on the mixer for my turntables a while back. It's supposedly a really awesome solution for that sort of thing. I'll keep this in mind in the future for sure.

I keep a can of DeOxit that I use on cart pins I can't get clean with q-tips and alcohol alone. Spray the pins, let it sit for 30 minutes, and then rub off with a q-tip.
