Everyone else tells me otherwise and it puzzles me to no end! I should just give up and trust in the crono, but I still need to watch it, because I was so annoyed that I don't remember a single thing from the film.
Trust me as well, I've read about your experience and it wasn't mine, the two times I saw it in theater.

Yeah I just finished watching it and I definitely wasn't going crazy. In theaters, it was definitely sped up about 1.2x speed. Loved the movie, thought it was brilliantly executed and had phenomenal action sequences.

Last night we ordered a pizza and re-watched DONNIE BRASCO, because mobsters eat pizza, right?

4 Stars from Ebert I believe, and I've heard many critics say "Skip BLACK MASS and see DONNIE BRASCO if you want a good Depp Mobster movie". I disagree.

The performances from Pacino and Depp are perfect, but the movie drags. And drags. And drags. When a movie is story driven, it's best to keep the story on a constant and consistent pace. For such an interestinBut I do have all of the movies, plus #g movie, it may leave you nodding off several times.

It's not a complete snoozer, but I watched BRASCO right after watching KILL BILL VOL. 1 & 2.

It's been raining here for weeks now, so the theater room has been the recent room of choice. Thinking about watching SHREK, as it never gets old, and animated movies look amazing on a big screen.

Unfortunately there is no Friday the 13th this month, but I do own the movies plus 3-D glasses, so we'll be having some gory fun this month.

Starts off pretty good but gets pretty fucking nutso by the last 20-30 minutes.

Wish the sequel was also on Hulu.

Predator 2

A goofy sequel with that late 80s camp acting but saved by its high nostalgic value. Danny Glover, Gary Busey, Bill Paxton, Adam Baldwin, and of course the ugly mother himself killing gangsters in poorly lit locales.

Checked out The Martian today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Ended up being a hell of a lot funnier then I expected to be as well. Oddly enough there are a shit load of pop culture and "nerdy" references as well Zork II even makes an appearance at one point  . Overall great story, great cast, and nice effects. It's probably my favorite movie so far this year.

I will say this though the trailer pulls a lot of editing bull shit which is just flat out misleading and yet it still manages to spoil some major plot points. Plus while there is some science a lot of the stuff is dumbed down or done off screen this is definitely not Interstellar or Apollo 13.

Today I rewatched Ghost in the Shell for the first time since I was in high school. Wow it's a better movie than I remember. When I first saw it, I was mostly interested in how it had high-quality animation, plenty of female nudity, and some copious violence. Now I can recognize just how cerebral it is, how it forces the viewer to pay close attention and how it blends a cyberpunk story with political intrigue.
I think it helps that I'm now familiar with Mamoru Oshii, this movie feels like the successor to Patlabor in a lot of ways.

I'm going to continue to ignore Stand Alone Complex, Arise, and all that nonsense, but I think I'll have to track down a copy of Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence through my library and give that a go.

I'm still not sure why she would have Zork II but not I or III. But bonus points for Leather Goddesses of Phobos, even though they put in a fake splash screen for it (actual game was text only).
