Oh, you know that's not true. A sell out is one without dignity. Sell outs are people who already have too much money, and do dumb stuff to get more money. Like, "Sure I'll take $100,000 for you to sleep with my wife"...Sold out. Or you could also say "A Sell out is a two dollar word worth three if you spin it correctly".MrPopo wrote: Sell-out is a fancy word for "someone who gets money while I'm still poor".
Going out on a limb and predicting that the box office for the year 2015 will pull in more profit (not revenue) than 2016. Pretty amazing Summer, and Christmas will create a boost in profit, albeit counted for one weekend.
Snap! Have you guys watched the new/old Disney shorts? You tube "New Pluto" and that should get you there. They are wondrous.

Yeah, this year has been a great movie year thus far.
Mad Max
Jurassic World
Ex Machina
Interstellar
Are some of the big ones I enjoyed at the theater.
Then we have some upcoming hype
New Star Wars, Bond, Martian, and Hateful Eight.

MINIONS also destroyed at the box office for great reasons. If MONSTER MOTORS happens on the big screen the toy revenue alone will break records.
As always we had a ton of terrible movies that you don't know exist, but the super hyped ones deserved the hype.
Notice how we didn't get many commercials for Vacation?
I'm counting on not so many people going nuts for every Marvel movie and fewer family films for 2016. It's a shot in the dark, but I think 2015 will gross more profit.

I will never understand this. A trillion plus on the F35 programme, NASA gets a fraction of a fraction of the budget for a single fighter jet. Still, if they wanted to generate buzz they could have published these findings in science publications and then grease the right palms to reveal it "big" in time for the movie. Ah phooey.. since I already have most of Ridley Scott's movie on BD I'll get this one eventually (just not going to watch its premiere)Ack wrote:Actually I think it's more that these guys understand the importance of film to generate interest in their work. Hey now, the F35 program has taught us lots of valuable lessons, like how not to build a plane, how not to buy a plane, how not to design a plane, how to drag out production of a plane, and how to sucker other countries into buying a bridge in Brooklyn.

we have a dog named it hachiko since its the common name that comes to mind after our family trip in Tokyo. we all knew the story. knowing that, ive purposely avoided the movie. but due to my wife's insistence and boredom, we watched it. (we saw the Japanese version). i wonder how long will i be all choked up like this. im hoping it didnt do any emotional damage to my daughter too.. she might have been too young for this.

Alright, I am taking the plunge. My wife asked if I was ready to watch Mad Max: Fury Road this weekend again. She hasn't watched it and we all know my weird ass experience with it. Going to take the plunge tonight. Please god tell me the projectionist was messing with the theater, because I really want to enjoy the movie tonight.

What's to be uncertain about? I already told you, the movie isn't actually like that.

Everyone else tells me otherwise and it puzzles me to no end! I should just give up and trust in the crono, but I still need to watch it, because I was so annoyed that I don't remember a single thing from the film.Cronozilla wrote:What's to be uncertain about?
