noiseredux Presents THE MONTH OF HORROR (2015) (remake)

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

noiseredux wrote:awesome list! I'm not sure how I forgot to mention Castlevanias, but yeah I'll boot up 1, 2, or 3 I'm sure. And maybe fire up Night Trap. Maybe one of the Bloodrayne games. Which reminds me, I was considering checking out the Blair Witch games too. Hmm.

Tekky, have you played Symphony Of The Night? You have, right? Cuz if not you're missing one of the best things ever in life... ever.
I have played Sotn own like seven versions of it lol, surprisingly never completed it. Definitely wanna give Simons Quest a go as well as Night Trap, "D" for sure will be played and BloodRayne Betrayal might be a nice sub for Sotn since its heavily inspired by that.

On a related note, those of you who have not played Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth (PC/Xbox) should do so. It is an incredibly intense first-person adventure/shooter/stealth/survival horror game, and I loved it. (It is even better if you read H.P. Lovecraft's Shadow over Innsmouth first, since the game is full of references to it.)
Playing through call of the cthulhu now. The attack of the fishermen part has really pissed me off. So many deaths when I go to bolt a door only to open the motherfucker. Finally after a few hours , I'm past that bitch.

I know you raved about it a while back I believe, do you have them already cuz if not they are on sale via psn dude.

So Scream Queens anyone see this show yet and what's your thoughts? I think I actually like it, because it was goofy, silly, gory and just about everything was right up my alley. Love the cast too!

I had a translation of the PC-98 version of Corpse Party I think, but never finished it.

I've only seen the 2hr pilot of Scream Queens, but absolutely loved it.

@Ack: My wife is def planning to go thru your list and pick some movies to watch this month, too. When we were watching House Of Wax she revealed that she's never seen Corman's Bucket Of Blood. I was like "what, what? We gotta fix that!"

The escape from the hotel H.P. Lovecraft's The Shadow over Innsmouth is practically a walkthrough for that section (which it totally awesome BTW). Seriously, I consulted H.P. Lovecraft's story so that I understood the hotel's layout. (The game tracks his work that closely.) It is by no means the most difficult part of the game, however; so, be prepared for more.

Ha, maybe I should post that list here for guys interested in some of the older stuff.

Anyway guys, REAL TALK TIME.

Since I'm focusing on stuff that comes from horror series, I have a lot of possibilities open to me. But I am always interested in branching out, so do you guys think I should include "loose" series?

Examples:

House - House IV
La Casa 1-7
Lucio Fulci's Gates Trilogy
Zombi/Zombie Blood Nightmare/Zombie/Whatever the hell else these get called?
The Massacre series(Slumber Party Massacre AND Sorority House Massacre AND Cheerleader Massacre AND Hard to Die)

Also, what about series that are mostly horror but have a few oddball non-horror entries, such as Hard to Die, which is an action film but is also technically Sorority House Massacre III?

Yesssssssssss.

Seriously you need to see all of the Slumber Party/Sorority House/Chearleader Massacre movies and spin-offs. It's insane how all over the place the full series is.
