noiseredux Presents THE MONTH OF HORROR (2015) (remake)

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Yeah, but since these have become a sort of catch-all thread for horror and we've been doing it for six years, I'm cool with this. Plus, you're doing a remake, and Microsoft has made it trendy to skip numbers.

next year's thread will probably be a reboot. It'll have the same title as the first one.

Those were taken from the participants from last year and the year before, since I ain't psychic have no idea who's going to participate each year  I did remove JT (since he hasn't been around for a couple months) and move a couple people around... but yeah, probably should have gone through more than the first dozen pages from last year and updated the names (though I think 80% of the names are pretty consistent.)

I'll do better next time :P

Seriously though, awesome job, Michi!
Thanks :)

Yeah, I think he did that because, if I recall, you both decided to merge both of your horror threads into one thread two years ago? I seem to remember some kind of conversation along those lines, but could be wrong.

Anyway, I can always change the title to something else, if you want. It's not a problem. It'll take, like, 15 seconds

no, no - you don't need to change anything. Really the shambolic nature of these threads is part of their ongoing charm.

In.

The Ghosts 'n Maximo stuff will all be on my list as well as the Castlevania series. If I can find the time I'd love to play Rule of Rose and the Shadow Hearts series.

For games with a tad more sense of humor, ZAMN, and Decap Attack are always hilarious.

For sure I'll play Bram Stoker's Dracula on the Sega CD,

OH! Ghostbusters on the 360, as well as Splatterhouse. This coming month will provide some good times.

Maximo is a good, challenging 3D platformer. It definitely "feels" like a G'nG game, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did when I played it many years ago.

That game is great. By video game standards, the writing is great, and the voice-acting is spectacular. It is as close as we came to a third Ghostbusters movie, and I really enjoyed it. (Walking the halls of the Sedgwick Hotel with PKE meter is just awesome.) The game is also overflowing with Ghostbusters fan service; so, be sure to spend some time exploring it.

Cool thread. I don't participate much, but I always enjoy reading y'alls posts.

Gonna try to squeeze D in sometime during October (for TR) as well as...

I may try to finally finish Decap Attack too.

You should try the Wii remake sometime. It maintains most of the original's mechanics, and it is a lot of fun.

I may also spend some mroe time with D next month. ( I almost beat it back in the '90s...) I think my primary Halloween games this year will be Costume Quest and Costume Quest 2, however.

Yeah, the TR post for D is already written up and ready to go. I beat it a few years ago...oh Hell, thinking back on it, I must have beaten it in 2009!

Anyway, I hope you guys all give it a shot this month. It's a quirky little game that's worth checking out, even if it is a short ride.

@Bone, Haunted House is great, good choice.

I'm thinking I'm going to try and at least get to SOMA. I'll have to try and think of a good movie to watch, might at least re-watch CABIN IN THE WOODS, since the wife hasn't seen it yet.
