Hats to the Hawks for their 3rd Cup in six years, considering this is the era of salary cap. No it does not ease the bitter feeling of being swept, and you wonder whom in the West can really match up against a fired-up Hawks team.

Next year will be interesting. The Hawks are gonna have a cap crunch with the Kane/Toews contracts going into effect, whereas really the Bolts only have Morrow off the books and will more than likely trade Carle to make room for Witkowski/Koekkoek/DeAngelo. It's gonna be exciting for sure next year.

Great series, shame every game I watched was a loss.

My lady and I watched the game at a sports bar (we also won a trivia contest) and I donned the home (previously away) Blackhawks sweater. We were the only ones watching the game, and the audio of the game would pause for the trivia questions.

This wasn't as great as the 2010 finals, but in entirety this post season was amazing to watch. There isn't as much defensive play as there used to be, but I'm getting used to that. I grew up watching Belfour, Savard, Chelios, Roenick, Russel, Sutter, and other greats, but this is the best Blackhawks team ever assembled.

Speaking of the Blackhawks, it's a shame about Stan "The Stash" Mikita. I have a matted and framed autographed picture of him in my gameroom, and due to dementia he can't even remember his own number.

Rape accusations drive me something nuts. I want justice, and if true I want Kane to suffer, but if innocent I'd like the false accuser to suffer.

That's super. Gary did good on that one.

Not sure what to think about the 3 on 3 overtimes. I say quit screwing around with OT and just go back to a traditional OT, as ties are fine.
