A few years ago it seemed like Kreayshawn and Tyler The Creator would take over the radio. They've put out music, most of which not many people have listened to. No clue what is up with Kreayshawn, and I'm pretty sure people just got tired of Tyler acting like a spoiled fourteen year old.
I like their music, but it seems that people just don't like their brash and obnoxious personalities.

Re: Hip Hop/Rap Fanatics Unite!
the thing about Tyler is that the dude has a ton of talent, but has no idea how to make an album. He's knocked out 4 solo albums over the years and all of them were 1/2 awesome and 1/2 obnoxious. Shrug.

There's being unique, and being a dick, and Tyler comes off as a dick. Even in his amusing pseudonym (I didn't need spell check that one?) he calls himself The Creator, which makes me think he does not want any creative direction other than his own.noiseredux wrote:the thing about Tyler is that the dude has a ton of talent, but has no idea how to make an album. Maybe that's the issue. Or not. I don't know.
What I do know is that when you are open to working and collaborating with established producers, you end up with albums like Aerosmith's PUMP, RHCPepper's Blood Sugar Sex Magic, Beastie Boy's Paul's Boutique, Van Halen's 1984, etc.
Before a comedy show, usually all the comedians sit around in a green room telling the jokes they are about to tell on stage, and everyone usually makes suggestions to improve or punch up a joke. Ya know like, "That's funny, but how about....", but there is always one person who is almost insulted by any advice. Tyler seems like that guy who no one can help as he is already perfect. Or at least that is how he comes across.
