Hmm, not bad. I understand your reasons for all of these and agree with you on most of them, including DKC. I find it to be the necessary starting point of the series but still overshadowed by what came next. I also believe Tales of Phantasia isn't up to par with Star Ocean...

The only one I would disagree on here would be FFV, but that's because I know a lot of guys here who absolutely love it. Small pool and all, so I suppose I'm limited in what I see get hyped up. I though it was enjoyable when I played it, but it's all about how deep you are willing to go with the job mechanics.

You're both a monkey's uncle!

Even though they took DKC1 and perfected it with DKC2 (and 3 was awesome too) I'm not sure if DKC1 is over hyped. Whenever one of the DKC games are talked about, they're ALL talked about. It's almost universally agreed that DKC2 is the best out of the three, and most people agree that DKC1 is kinda bland after the two sequels. It's like the vanilla version of the second two games. But even so, it's STILL a fun 2D platformer on the SNES, and shouldn't be passed up. And to be fair, I don't think anyone is hyping DKC1 in particular these days. All 3 games are hyped together.

RE: DKC and FF5. This is where I get into trouble for posting my stuff here, because you guys (and the community here in general) are much more cultured and a lot more knowledgeable about gaming. In other words, Racketboy is unlikely to be the target audience for a video like this, you guys already know this stuff.

Good vid.

And for the record, the most underhyped SNES game ever is THE 7TH SAGA.

But don't go thinking you shouldn't post it here!

We like the videos. And it's nice to feel that connection to the outside world from time to time.

Ecco has always been one of those games that I think looks really really cool, but I'm afraid if I try it I wouldn't like playing it at all.

It's got a great atmosphere but it does get frustrating pretty quickly.
