girlracer, I'll be honest;
I've been wanting to get Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric for a while now.
The only reason I haven't, is because I'm waiting for it to be under $15, because I'm not paying $18-$25, on a piece of crap. lol
I only really want it, just to see how bad it is; I played the demo, and it just seemed like a generic children's beat-em-up. It was still bad, but from the demo at least, I wouldn't call it, "worse than Sonic '06" bad.
But like I said; gotta play the full product, before I make a true statement on that. lol

How much did you spend on the goldie, and what carts?
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
$350, which turned into $410 after taxes and fees.
Came with Samurai Shodown II and Sengoku. Will get giving SS2 to a friend as I already have it.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
So, yesterday, I stopped at GameStop and nabbed about 6; 3 of them being UMD video.
Started off with Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd for PS3 New for $19.99. Been wanting one of the games in this series for a while, and at $20, it felt criminally cheap. I have some knowledge of Vocaloid, but one reason I wanted this, was because it seems like this will be the closest we'll get to another PaRappa The Rapper game in a while (both games are music/rhythm games, where your button commands cause the character to sing; PaRappa's advantage is that you can freestyle it, though).
Got Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law for PSP for free, thanks to a Buy 2 Get 2 free deal, that I'll explain in a minute.
Also got Wii Music for $0.99. Nothing to add to that.
Here's where things get interesting, however.
I go up to the counter to ask if they have a UMD Video for Cowboy Bebop: The Movie (mostly to add to my collection of Bebop stuff), as I read that the area I was at had it, and it wasn't with the UMD videos. She looked it up, and found it in the back area (where they keep stuff they can't fit on the shelves).
It wasn't the Cowboy Bebop movie, though.....It was the first five Episodes on UMD Video. Cowboy Bebop: Session #1. Complete in the Box, might I add. It was the same price and everything.
So, I abused the PSP Buy 2 Get 2 Free deal, and got UMD Videos for Ghost in the Shell, and Ren & Stimpy Season 1 & 2 Volume 1 (which is difficult to find online, as I can see). Harvey Birdman, and Cowboy Bebop: Session #1 were both free, while Ghost in the Shell was $2.99, and Ren & Stimpy was $3.99.
Have no experience with Ghost in the Shell, or Ren & Stimpy, but hey! Now's a better time then ever to try, right? lol

Seems like a pretty damn good deal. Every time I have looked around for an MVS cab causally the guy always wanted 750$+ (this was for red cabs though, never seen a gold).the7k wrote:$350, which turned into $410 after taxes and fees.

Dude, I didn't even know about the "gold" MVS until today. I dig the woodgrain, but I don't care much for the monitor.flylikeabird wrote:Seems like a pretty damn good deal. It was an arcade auction. There were some other Neo Geo "Big Reds" there that actually went for less, including one that went for $175, though the monitor needed work.flylikeabird wrote:Seems like a pretty damn good deal. Was willing to pay more for this one considering I've already got too many Big Reds on my hands.
Yeah, I've always wanted a Goldie, and this is only the second one I've ever seen IRL - and I've been going to these arcade auctions for at least 5 years.samsonlonghair wrote:Dude, I didn't even know about the "gold" MVS until today. Looked so good, the condition is pretty freaking stellar.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
That was like my Red Tent. I had never seen one in real life even after a couple years of auctions, ended up snagging it for $150ish.the7k wrote:Yeah, I've always wanted a Goldie, and this is only the second one I've ever seen IRL - and I've been going to these arcade auctions for at least 5 years.
Id love to have a Goldie or a 1 slot Mini, but both are so expensive when they pop up. You go a solid deal on the Goldie, I am jealous.
