Dirty little secret (and personal pet peeve):
Quality of goods from China covers the full gamut, from very high to very low. We most often see low quality goods because that's usually all people want to pay for... but being "made in china" is rarely a meaningful indication of quality.
With that out of the way, while I find the cards perfectly functional I agree that pirated carts could have the same quality. It doesn't look like Sony went out of their way to make the cards special in any way.

There would need to be a demand for Vita games first.

Vita is not dead yet, November 6th 2015 Aqua Blue Vita System Release. GameStop Exclusive however, still some great games coming especially from the almighty Xseed!

It looks like Target is clearing out all of their Vita stock. I went to a couple of stores this week and about 90% of the stock was sporting clearance tags. Picked up Killzone for $9. Saw mostly MLBs and and Lego titles, but there was the occasional SFxT and PlayStation All Stars.

I can confirm this was going on at my Target as well. Several decent Vita titles were still there. Even saw ones that were PSN codes like Minecraft discounted to about $5.

Minecraft for $5 sounds like an awesome deal to me.

Damn good deals on those target clearance, pounce if you get a chance. I'm pretty much done on my Vita collection besides 4-6 games already out and a few upcomings. Still missing tons of classics on my wants though :(

Oh yeah, I should mention that buried in the pile at my Target were some clearanced PSP games as well. I picked up the Syphon Filter/Socom dual pack brand new for $4.48.

Anyways, on the topic of Vita games, I picked up Tokyo Twilight: Ghost Hunters on a whim and I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. It's a visual novel type thing where you react with two wheels representing actions (I guess) and emotions. I've managed to piss off a lot of people by trying to hold their hands on accident, it seems. They're just thrown at you with no explanation. Then it has ghost strategy/rpg sections which thus far are pretty meh. Basically chasing a triangle around a grid with another triangle until you get to smack it. I bit luck based. Still, it looks gorgeous and it will be my before bed game for a while.

I'm still left feeling like many of the Vita games are either too repetitive or don't have enough depth. I hope we get a little more cause I really do love this handheld.

What PSTV owners have been waiting for.

I know it's late, and may have been discussed in other areas, but I thought to mention it here, as well. With some software, an exploit (explained how to do in the link) allows users to bypass the whitelist.

Keep in mind that most games can run on the PSTV with this exploit, but how well is YMMV.

Seems nice there's to much games not able to play on PSTV and does suck. Not sure if I'll give this a shot as I'm fine flopping back and forth between the Vita & PSTV, also wish it was official. Still though I bet many people are stoked!

I'll see how this all turns out.
