I just uploaded an updated version of Spin Jump To Freedom Hard.

All I did was clean up the end section. It's been bothering me for a while. I also tried to make secret warp pipe easier to spot.

Playing now!

edit: I can't get it to work. After Mario collects the mushroom, he gets hit by the fire wand thing, then gets hit again and killed. I know sometimes my auto level would randomly bug out and break, and sometimes do it multiple times in a row, so I'll try your level a few more times.

Is it a troll auto level?

I've updated Spin Jump To Freedom (Insane).

7E7A-0000-0057-8623

Less than half a percent completion rating is just too low (3 out of 680 lol), I feel like most people wont even TRY it just because of that. So, I made the level slightly easier. Mostly just the first part: The stairs are now Thwomps so it's easier to get up (did this in the castle section too) and I filled in some of the gaps so it's easier to get to the second part. The second part is unchanged with the exception of the mentioned Thwomps. Otherwise, it's as insane as it's always been. I feel like more people will be willing to but the effort into beating it (and not rage quit) if it's easier to at least get up to the second part.

Yeah, sorry

I couldn't help myself. I just don't have the patience the create a real auto level.

 As if the Waluigi didn't give it away.

I muscled through the first part and actually beat it, and seeing the rest of the level was a dead give away.

edit: I just beat the 100 Mario Challenge on easy for the 19th time and the game told me that I unlocked all the costumes for that difficultly level. Only 19 out of 100 can be unlocked on easy. Damn. I was hoping for at least 33.

Are you able to make more than just one level? Can you make an entire game like Mario one, two or three or Mario World?

Yes, you can make a very large number of levels, but can only upload 10 levels online initially. As people give you stars, you unlock medals which allow for more levels to be uploaded. I just unlocked the 3rd medal with 150 stars, which allows me to upload up to 30 levels, which is equivalent to an entire game.

As for making an entire Mario Game and linking them together. No you can't. What you can do is just upload your levels in a way that puts them together. I have two sets of levels made right now, Meadow Valley and Super Waluigi Bros. I just put the world and level in the title e.g. Super Waluigi Bros. 1-1, 1-2 etc.

^ You know what I just found out? You know how when you save/load levels they're arrange in groups of 4 (world 1, world 2, etc)? When you go to Course Bot, there's a play button next to each world. If you click the play button, you can play through all four levels of that world continuously. This only works when playing locally, but it's still pretty neat.

Speaking of the "world" format in which you save to, I see there's 30 worlds. That leaves you room for 120 level saves. Why make a ceiling, Nintendo?

Can we just have a vent session really quick? I think Nintendo needs to implement some criteria or help us clearly understand what justifies a level showing up in the 100-Mario Expert Mode.

There's so many levels that come up for me that I believe were beaten once and never again. I get frustrated seeing good level design flying in the face of let's make something that is challenging and also unforgiving.

"You will DIE" is not an encouraging level and usually results in a skip right as I get a sense of what the level entails. I must have skipped over 50 courses, and lost 65 of my 100 lives and only cleared a total of 4 stages.

I think Nintendo needs to be a little more choosy about what gets through, that's all. I haven't yet beaten 100-Mario Expert yet, but for any of those that have, am I off base here? It seems to be flooded with tons of levels that are utmost difficult, luck is required, and absolute precision.

^ You're right about all that. Hopefully Nintendo will update not only that, but also how levels are searched/found in general. And with a lot of people complaining about it, and the fact that over a million levels have already been uploaded, I think it'll happen sooner rather than later.

One tip, you can save your progress at any time during the 100 Mario Challenge. And I've read that you can save a session on each difficultly level. So you can save in the middle of expert and leave, come back and play easy or medium, then continue expert later.

One thing I can vent about: Level length. If you wanna make a long linear level, you either have to fully utilize doors and warp tubes, or twist and turn utilizing the double height. To put into perspective how short the length of a level actually is, I just tried to recreate (block by block) SMW Yoshi's Island 2 and it's a little too short. You know the only warp tube in that level? That's as long as I was able to make it. Bummer. I really wanted to remake level 1 and 2 from SMW.
