I don't think I've actually played anything in 2015 that was actually released in 2015.
Been playing plenty of games from the 70s though.

Can't you make this statement about any game released in the past 15 years?BoneSnapDeez wrote:I don't think I've actually played anything in 2015 that was actually released in 2015.

Either Watch Dogs or Sonic generations is my latest.
Enjoying both, but I pretty much only play WD to roam around "Chicago". I also know I might not ever finish WD because the hacking stuff isn't my bag of tea, and it's what the game is. You hack stuff.

I'm thinking about buying a PC Engine with a PC Engine CD attachment. Is there any major disadvantages to getting those instead of a PC Engine Duo, other than design?

I can't say this since Hotline Miami 2 and Claptastic Voyage for the Borderlands Pre-Sequel came out this year.
Still...worth it. I think most of what I have played this year is from the '90s.

I can't think of a problem per se.... but I also can't figure out why you would want to do this. Is it cheaper?alienjesus wrote:I'm thinking about buying a PC Engine with a PC Engine CD attachment. Is there any major disadvantages to getting those instead of a PC Engine Duo, other than design?
Whatever the case, a fantastic library of games awaits you.

It's about £150 all in rather than £200+. £15 of the cost is for a controller and cables. The unit I've found has had capacitors swapped and gears replaced.BoneSnapDeez wrote:I can't think of a problem per se.... but I also can't figure out why you would want to do this. It only comes with a System card 2.1 though. Is there a list of CD games and what system card they require anywhere?

Formats lists whether it works on the stock CD, Super System Card, or Arcade Card. I don't know about the Japanese version, but the US TurboDuo has the Super System Card built in, and that is pretty much reflected in the price difference between getting them separate vs. a Duo.

Seems like you can get a PC Engine 3.0 card for like £20, which is much less than the price difference between a PC Engine + CD attachment and a PC Engine Duo.MrPopo wrote:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_P ... e_CD_games

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
That's definitely not the case for the US version.
