Good news for sure, I've accepted Tearaway on PS4 so why not a Gravity Rush & Hot Shots now!

I woke up at about 5AM to play The Taken King, it is now 11:15AM, loving it!

Honestly with all the stuff coming this fall and next year for XB1, I don't know why you'd choose PS4 over XB1, other than "my buddy has a PS4, I'll get that." I'm super stoked for everything you listed! Halo 5 and Gears are gonna be great co-op experiences and I'm excited to try out some games for backwards compat that I never finished.

If you're not a fan of Halo, Forza, Gears and the other few things they're known for and kepeing on their console alone it wouldn't make the one any more compelling. It's all about the exclusive in house/farmed out second party games for either system. Other than the first Halo which wasn't bad but repetitive I've not cared for any of their IP pet projects.

Well there's also Rise of the Tomb Raider, Quantum Break, Scalebound, and smaller things like Cuphead and Below. All of the PS4 stuff seems pretty far off or multiplat. Personally I buy all the consoles so I don't have to choose. :)

I was actually really interested in Quantum Break ... and then they injected Shawn Ashmore. No thanks.

I don't know him from anything but X-Men, in which I find him to be totally innocuous. What's soured you on him?
