Things that have happened since I did not renew my subscription with MLB.TV:
The Cubs will make the playoffs
The Cubs have a pitcher who may win the Cy Young award
The Cubs have a winning record
The Cubs are 3rd in the NL Central
The Cubs have an ace in Jon Lester
Frown:
As Mitch Hedberg said "I'm not superstitious, but I am a little stitious" so I will continue to not watch my Cubbies.

I was reading a short story set another hundred years in the future, and the Cubs were used as a plot point. A delegate from Earth claimed to be a Cubs fan but didn't realize they had won the World Series two years prior (first time since 1908).

Being a "Delegate from Earth" sounds like the coolest job since "Robot Vampire Cop".

That's awesome dude. Gonna purchase one or two Neo Geo games?
I remember 6 weeks after buying my house the bank sent me a check for $900. Said it was some miscalculation on their part when they did the initial paperwork. That money didn't last long in my hands.

Other than that though, no plans. All my stuff's packed up right now anyway in preparation for selling the house.

Wow. Super cool Kaless. Getting anything you don't expect (besides std's) is always a fun surprise.
Frown: A few of my friends are fighting on fb over the issue in Texas where a kid was arrested for bringing a home made clock in that someone thought could be a bomb. What makes it worse is that they're all lawyers who love to 1-up each other.
Smile: My boy StringBean (real name is Josh) shut it down with "It is a civil and personal right as a child/minor to have your parents contacted before any and all questioning. There is even a Fresh Prince episode that explains it".
Not only did he silence the crowd, he referenced one of the best episodes of TFP ever. It features the singing prisoner, "Yeah, we done it!", and the first time Will says "Word to Big Bird".
Edit*
Frown: A more than dear friend of mine lost his Mother this morning, and I got the news via text of "Grady's Mom died". Classy.
Smile: It seems like an unwanted blessing as she has been in a miserable, suffering state for well over two years. Not sure where he is right now, and for me this is a "I'll let him contact me first" situation, but certainly I'll find out where the funeral will be.
Once told the guy "Grady, If I'm George Bailey you are my Clarence Odbody" as he is a gentleman who will do almost anything to help a friend out of a pickle.

Sorry to hear that, Luke.
I really need to work on my time skills, as of current I can't find enough time between schoolwork, sleep, time for myself, and going out. I seem to get to choose about 2 out of that list, and have to drop the rest.
