Chrono Trigger story question (L,A,R,A)

***spoilers ahead for a twenty year old game

What changes in the story if you don't save Lucca's mom? Anything significant? I know she isn't wheelchair bound if you save her but I don't remember if you get anything out of it.

It's entirely a minor change to the ending. Gameplay wise you get the same rewards.

IIRC, there are only a couple minor changes. Maybe one line of dialog from Lucca is changed, and the festival ending has Lara dancing and Taban sitting (they're switched if you don't save her)

Thanks. I'm currently playing with a broken L button so she will be forever lame in this playthrough.

Yeah, DS. I have a couple of units with questionable shoulder buttons.

Just think about how poor Lucca's mom feels. :P
